Spiciest food in WDW?

I ate at Jiko last night and ordered the Sambal.
It was just a tad spicier than ketchup.

I asked for the chef, and he came out to chat. He said they no longer carry the ingredients to make the Sambal super hot. I past along my displeasure and he took note.

So, it appears the "good Sambal", at least for now, has left the building.

Is the Sambal you're referring to different than the Red Chili Sambal they offer with the Bread Service? I have the recipe from Sanaa for the red chili sambal (I requested it from Disney after our last trip to Sanaa) and it calls for scotch bonnet or habanero peppers in the recipe. That would be really sad if they took the hot peppers out.
I completely forgot about this one, but totally agree on the Harissa sauce at Restaurant Marrakesh! It's been a little over a year since we ate there, so hopefully it's not gone the way of the Sambal.

Spice Road Table's mixed grill skewers have the Harissa sauce too and it is probably the hottest thing we've found on Disney property. I am gluten free and frequently have to speak with the chefs when ordering and I was told by the chef at Spice Road that the Harissa is spicier than most American palates are used to. I told him to bring it as we're used to spicy and it was really good, but I wouldn't say "too hot". Ask for extra sauce on the side. Interestingly, we tried the harissa chicken kabob from the Marrakesh booth at Flower and Garden last year and it wasn't spicy at all.

I've also had the Spicy Durban Shrimp at Sanaa and it is good, but I wouldn't say super spicy. Nothing at Disney comes close to our local Thai restaurant's melt-your-face-off dishes.

Yes, that's the stuff.
That said, I really don't know if those are the ingredients that they no longer carry. We used to special order the Sambal to make it super hot.

Sambal typically has both habanero and cayenne peppers. Like MG, we also would tell the server that we wanted it spicy, and it always delivered. My guess, and it's just that, is perhaps they stopped carrying habanero peppers?

Harissa is usually made with serrano peppers, which are not as hot as habaneros, but hotter than jalapenos. If your kabobs were not spicy, that also worries me that perhaps they have killed the Harissa heat, too.
