Our prayers are with you. It's amazing how attached you can get to those pets.

So sorry to hear about your Spicey. It's very difficult to lose a pet. We had to let go of our 20yo cat Jake last year.

Pat, sorry to hear the sad news. You are always so kind in helping other Disers travel with their pets, because you and Spicey always travelled together.

From another animal lover - so sorry to hear about Spicey. The loss of a pet is very hard. Let others around you help you to heal.

Hugs and kisses from my two dogs - Charlie and Gus :dog: :dog: - to you

Pat,

So sorry to hear about Spicey.....we lost our 15 yr old sheltie, Cassie, 7 years ago. We were all devastated. We currently have a 7 yr old sheltie, Casey and a 2 yr old, Cannon. Casey has been sick lately (cluster seizures of unknown origin several times over the past several months). He just spent four days in the hospital a few weeks ago and we almost lost him. It's very difficult when a pet is sick. Fortunately, he seems to have come around on new medication with some limitations (the medicine makes him very lethargic and he seems drunk all the time). Cannon is having a difficult time.....he can't understand why Casey can't play with him anymore. Hang in there and remember the good times with your Spicey....

So sorry, Pat. It must be hard to think of going anywhere without Spicey since you took so many trips together. Spicey was a very special cat.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our little furry children are definitely part of our family too. :grouphug:

We've lost 3 dear cats over the years, so I really feel for you. There just aren't words to say - it's kind of like losing a child to some degree - they're so dependent on you - so very sad. Hang in there. My prayers are with you.

How sad. My 2 cats greet me in the mornings and I dread the day when this changes. Good wishes to you Pat.

I am so sorry to hear of Spicey's passing. You were a kind & loving Mom & Spicey was such a happy blessing ~

Our hearts go out to you~
We lost our beloved companion, our 15 year old dog, Sydney, Mother's Day 2005--it is a profound hurt. Our thoughts are with you,

Jean, Christopher & Patrick

I understand the pain so well, our "Karma" has not been doing very well for the last 4 months. I really do not think she will see another winter, my 14 year old boy has spent nights on the floor sleeping next to her worrying that it could be his last night with her. We had already decided that the pain was too much for her, and we gave it one more day. That was 2 months ago...

Pat:

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Spicey. He looks like a relative of our cat Zelda. I know from your posts he was a well-loved and very well traveled cat. :grouphug:

While I still miss an earlier cat Grover (great calico mouser) time has helped so that I recall all the wonderful times. I hope this will happen soon for you too.

I am a cat lover. I have experienced what you have. It is such a great loss.

I am so sorry....

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that! :grouphug:
I know how much spicey meant to you and how much you loved him :grouphug:

I'm so sorry. We had the exact same thing happen with our Cyd not all that long ago. It's so sad, but you did the right thing!!

Oh Pat, I was away from the boards for a few days, and I am so sorry for your loss! :sad2: . I had to put my 2 siamese 17 year olds to sleep a year apart and it still saddens me. Cats are so much a part of the family. My thougths are with you.

So sorry to hear this, Pat! He will live on forever in your memory though. He was blessed to have had your love for so long.

We had this happen back in December with our elderly cat Mooshie. He had diabetes, but it was the kidney problems that finally took him. I'm very sorry for your loss.
