Can not decide between Spice Road and the Wave. Which restaurant do you prefer? 2 adults no kids

We are going to be at Epcot then planning to take monorail to MK for EMH. Is this still possible?

Thanks,
Ames :)

We did both restaurants in November. It is kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Food wise, The Wave was the best food we had the entire vacation. It was a nice romantic quiet meal. It was like a secret getaway in the hustle and bustle. Spice Road was good food, the best service we had, and we got to watch Illuminations while we ate. However, it was crowded and loud. So, I would say if you want a quiet tasty meal, The Wave. If you want good food in an upbeat atmosphere, Spice Road.

I agree with The Wave. Food there is incredible! A hidden gem and my fave restaurant.

We stay at Contemporary, we much prefer food at Spice Table.

The Wave works best if coming/going/Park hopping to/from Magic Kingdom.

We had The Wave for the first time on NYE. If I had to choose between eating there again or trying Spice Road, I'd pick Spice Road hands down. The Wave was fine, nothing really to complain about, but it wasn't anything special.

OK, I see that you've made your decision... but let me make it more difficult! We love the Wave. As others have said, it is a hidden gem and consistently excellent. We have eaten at Spice Road once, and it was ok... service was lacking, food was fine, but not phenomenal.

Good luck!

Thank you all! Spice Road it is! :)
Based on where you will be at the time, Spice Road makes sense. The food and service has been good.

The Wave is a good choice, but would take much more time as you would have to take the monorail all the way around to get to MK, unless you walk, which is not a bad walk.

We tried the Wave last summer. I was not impressed. The menu is limited.

I've never eaten at the Wave, but spice road table was fantastic especially on the patio. Service was a little iffy, however the food was fantastic. Don't miss the hummus fries.

What time did you book reservations for Spice Road tosee Illuminations? We have an 8:00 reservation in hopes watching from there.

We love The Wave. It’s been a must do on our last 2 trips and we hve it for our upcoming trip. We have Spice Road table booked also.

We have booked the Wave as we are staying at the Contemporary. Great tip about it being Quiet & great food.
Looking forward to it even more now thanks...

We had a 8:00pm SRT reservation, checked in about 15 min early because we were already back there and hungry, and were given a very nice patio seat with a great view of Illuminations. I personally, would not expect an Illuminations view for anything booked after 8:00pm, as we were pretty much the last table seated at the railing outside, although I have no idea what the inside seating looked like. I hope you get a great table and enjoy your meal, we were not super crazy about our food, and hated our drinks (both way too sweet), but we were glad we tried a full meal there and had a great view of Illuminations, which was our goal. We also have a wealth of amazing restaurants with similar menus where we live, so we didn't have too high of expectations. We definitely had better food at The Wave on our previous trip.
