I bid on Priceline for our arrival night and got the Holiday Inn Sunspree for $39. I read that they were partially remodeled so sent an e-mail requesting a quiet room in the new section. The replied that they could not guarantee that. When we arrived the lobby was all torn up but functional. They assigned us a room in the new section and we found our king room to be huge. This would be a great room for someone with a couple kids...if the kids didn't mind a fold out couch. The colors were a bit bright but it was nice and quiet. The new look of the exterior is much better than the old rainbow style.

Warning on bidding for 3 star in the Lake Buena Vista zone:

I had a bad experience when I got the Sunspree through Priceline. When I arrived, the desk person told me I would only get a standard room unless I paid extra for a deluxe room. They sent me to a disgustingly dirty unremodeled room in the old section.

The room was barely a 1*, not the 3* I paid for on Priceline. The elevator was broken so I had to walk forever to use another. There was a half eaten sandwich in the fridge and pubic hairs on the sheets. The bathroom was filthy and the room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for a very long time. I did my bed bug check and found them running between the mattress and box springs. I caught one and took it to the front desk to complain. Only then did they allow me to be in the new section at no extra cost.

I complained to Priceline and they most likely had a talk with Sunspree. The old rooms were some of the worst I'd ever seen anywhere. I told Priceline that Sunspree should not be allowed to give out their worst rooms to winners of 3* bids. Maybe they got the resort to agree. I was very impressed with the concern Priceline showed me over my unpleasant experience. I love Priceline!

The new room was fine, but we had other issues with the elevator in the new building not working properly and the pool towel bin empty most of the time. I had to drip my way back to the room a few times.

They charge an $8 resort fee which is very high.

I'd avoid bidding on a 3 star in the Lake Buena Vista area in order to avoid getting the old rooms at this resort.
