We just got back from our trip - Sunday afternoon thru Friday evening, then Friday night in a hotel outside Disney and came home Saturday afternoon. We took (for me, DH, 5yo DD and 4yo DS):
9 Q&C vouchers ($12 each)
1 VKL voucher ($32)
$200 in travelers checks
$35 in cash
$11 in quarters (for laundry and arcade games)
$42 in cash for the kids - this is money they saved for the trip
I came home with $5, so we spent $423 over 6 days on food, souveniers, and miscellaneous - that's $70.50 per day - but again my kids are little so they don't eat much. The travelers checks went for one stroller rental, Chef Mickey breakfast, misc. food (kid's lunch at Rainforest, one lunch at WDW, a few sodas, drinks after the Cirque, dinner our last night in town) and my souveniers - 3 postcards, 1 pair of fuzzy dice, and an antenna topper. The only thing I charged was the Neverland Club for the kids while we were at the Cirque, and we intended to charge that anyway.
I got the kid's t-shirts at the thrift before we left for our trip - $1 each. The kids bought their own ice creams and souveniers out of their spending money and were thrilled to be able to get an "Itsakadoozie" whenever they wanted, LOL.
I didn't do a budget for the trip, just tried to keep everything fun and affordable (and less than our tax refund which paid for the trip) and we all had a great time and hope to go back again before Christmas.
