Sounds great! We loved having the last day open to do whatever we wanted! Woo-Hoo for a 30th bday extravaganza!!
And an even bigger WOO-HOO for going to Disney World in 56 days!!!

I think your Chef Mickey ADR is perfect.. you get to sleep in and then enjoy a fantastic brunch with the gang!
You've got the right idea-- just chill the last day. Hit some favorites at MK and then shop your butt off at DTD. It's always a bummer to leave but... hey, at least we can start planning for the big 3-0!!
56 days! Hooray!
I think you should leave your plans open like that-- go to MK if you're feeling it, DTD if there's things you still want/need to buy, whatever. That's great that your flight is so late-- our was at 3:00 last trip, so we slept in, too. Felt good after getting up at 7 every other day!

Then it's back to the airport and bye bye Disney World. Probably won't see you again until 2012. That will be for my 30th birthday extravaganza.
I will be 30 in 2012 as well! Maybe I should plan a Disney World extraveganza too!![]()

I think you should def. hit up the MK since you will only be a monrail ride away. Re-ride your favorite things, shop on Main Street and maybe see a few small things that you can never get to. I have never been to DTD, but I would LOVE to go this trip. I hear the shopping can't be beat. Trying to talk my DH into buying me the new Princess D&B purse![]()
I'll be 30 in 2012 too!!! Let's plan a Fabulous 30 trip for all of us!!!Actually, my mom really wants to go to WDW with all of us (parents, little sis, me, DH, DD, big sis and BIL) in 2012. By that time, my sister and BIL should have a little one and we'll probably have another child too. It would be a lot of fun.
Love your Day 6 plans. Wish I could do an unplanned day, but I just can't do it!I don't plan out each and every detail, but I at least like to know which park I'm going to when I wake up each morning. I love eating at Chef Mickey's for "brunch" (did it last June and doing it again next month). We are breakfast lovers and Chef Mickey's is the best (my DH and DD love Crystal Palace too).
Are you willing to do a 4 parks 1 day fun? It seems like you would be able to have enough time if you wanted to do it.
Love that you are ending with Chef Mickey's.![]()
Hi guys!
Had the day off yesterday and spent it at the beach. Glad I had yesterday off because today is gloomy and rainy. But it's still a pretty great day cause when I got to work and checked my email, I had my confirmation from Universal waiting for me! I put in a request for 2 complimentary tickets and it was approved!I can't wait to go to WWoHP! I'm currently re-reading the books so get myself pumped up about it...not that I need it!
53 days to go!
YAY! That's awesome that you got the tickets!!I used to have the first four books, but I got rid of them and I've regretted it every since. So I ordered the first two online and they should be in any day! Michael and I just finished watching all of the movies last month (I'd only seen the first three). WWoHP looks AMAZING!!

I've been re-reading them all too! I started with 1 and I'm already on 5 (I started at the end of June!) and even that one I'm almost done with! I noticed so much more this time around that I didn't notice the first time! I'm not even going to WWoHP but I was refreshing because the 7th movie is coming out in November (well, part 1, anyway). That's cool you free tickets though! Maybe next year we'll add 2 more days to our trip and head over to US & IOA...We've never been there!
Congrats on the comp tickets!!
I started re-reading the HP series at the start of the summer. I read books 4-7 in about a week (hey, I didn't have anything else to do). Still love love love them! I didn't read 1-3 because I re-read those so many times waiting for books 4-7 to come out, haha.
Your trip is insanely soon! I cannot wait!
Free tickets!!!
I haven't checked lately, have the crowds reduced any since opening or is it still a madhouse?
Due to taking a 'mental health' day yesterday (trust me I needed it, work has been getting to me a little), I gave some thought as to how I would spend my time in Disney World. I think everyone is probably going to follow my lead and those who get tired, well, not to sound mean but they can go rest at SSR and do what they gotta do! But I think everyone will be ok.I don't think they understand you have to attack a Disney park. You can't go in without some sort of plan!
DAY 1 10/4 - We haven't booked airfare yet but the flights I'm looking at get in either around 12:30 or around 3:30. We'll go to SSR and get checked in first and hoping that the room is ready, freshen up a bit and relax for a little while. Maybe grab something to eat over at DTD. Then it's off to MAGIC KINGDOM! The park is open until 10pm that night, regular time. EMH extends that til 1 AM. AWESOME! I love late nights at Magic Kingdom. When I told Adam how late it was open, his response was simply 'wow.'I'm having a hard time deciding which ride we'll do first. I'm thinking Space Mountain since it was closed for rehab during my last trip and it's a classic. What do you guys think?
DAY 2 10/5 - MY BIRTHDAY! I figured we'd sleep in a little bit (not TOO late) and head over to AK this day since that can be done in half a day. I know we need to see all the major attractions: Kilamanjaro, EE, Bug's Life, and Dinosaur. We can throw in the rapids and Rafiki's Planet Watch if time allows. I definitely want to see the Nemo or Lion King show too, so I need to allow time for that; extra if we decide on Nemo since it fills up quickly. Other than that, that park is pretty much walking around and taking everything in. I never spend a full day there. Am I missing anything? After AK, we'll go back to SSR, freshen up, and then head over to Ohana for my bday dinner! We have an ADR at 7:10. Maybe hit Jellyroll's afterward if anyone is feeling up to it.
DAY 3 10/6 - EPCOT! The park has EMH that night so I figured we can sleep in a bit rather than getting up early to make park opening. The first thing I always head toward is Soarin since that runs out of fast passes so quickly for some reason. Does anyone else understand that? Cause I don't get it. I like Soarin but I don't quite get why it's as popular as it is. There have been times by 11am that it's sold out of FPs.Anyway, TT is a must for this day and I usually skip Mission Space but if anyone wants to experience it, I guess I'll just have to suck it up! Not crazy about that ride obviously. Food and Wine Festival will also be going on so I'm sure we'll take advantage of that!!! I think that's what everyone is most excited about!
Day 4 10/7 - DHS or IOA. Day 4 and day 5 could be interchangable. Since DHS is having Fantasmic on this night, we'll say we're going there this day. This is the one park we need to get to at opening or as close to it as possible. WE HAVE TO GO ON TSM! Multiple times. That ride is awesome and I need to have the highest score of the group since I've been on it before and no one else has!
That will be followed by RnRC and ToT. Gotta get the big guns done first! I'm sure we'll do the Great Movie Ride too and if we have time maybe see a show. I'm betting the boys will want to see Lights, Action, Extreme! I'd like to do the drawing class too, I had a lot of fun with that on our last trip. There's a lot to see and do at DHS so if we have to split up (I'm thinking this is going to happen in every park) so be it. If people are up for Fantasmic, we'll see it.
Day 5 10/8 - IOA. HARRY FREAKIN POTTER! Enough said. Possibly dinner at Margaritaville.
Day 6 10/9 - MK one more time. We have an ADR for Chef Mickey's at 11am. Again we haven't booked flights yet but the one I'm looking at doesn't leave until 9:30 at night so we'll have most of the day. I always make MK my first and last stop on my Disney trips. I'm happy spending the rest of the day there but if anyone wants to see or do something again in another park, that's fine by me!
I was thinking of fitting in MNSSHP but...I really don't know when I could. Thoughts on this? Based on the schedule it looks like they'd have one the 7th and 8th.
5 months and 19 days to go!!
I am going Sept30-Oct5 and we are doing MNSSHP and trust me it is totally worth it! I did it 3 years ago and I had SO MUCH FUN!!!! My mom told me I had to buy a costume and I'll admit I was kind of like, are you joking? But I went along with it and bought a tinkerbell costume (I was 19 at the time) and I am so happy I listened to her. I think out of the entire night, I might have seen 20 people WITHOUT a costume. I would have felt so out of place without one...so if you go, dress up! There is a special parade that is just amazing...you should check it out on YOUTUBE. They even have a headless horseman...by far the best part of the parade![]()
Yay for the free Universal tickets!! Are you going to spring for the express passes? I think it'll be unbusy enough that you won't need them, but they are definitely a luxury.
Disney Day 6
Then it's back to the airport and bye bye Disney World. Probably won't see you again until 2012. That will be for my 30th birthday extravaganza.
I know all about the parade, I went to MNSSHP last yearI'm not sure if we're going to do it again this year or Halloween Horror nights at Universal. Two totally different experiences from what I know! I think it's going to be a game time decision!
Where are you staying??
