Spending my birthday in Disney! Oct 2010 PTR - UPDATED 10/11 TR STARTED

I don't know why it's so much money by you. It's MUCH cheaper to fly Jet Blue here than say Continental.

I can update from my phone to fb but I'm unsure of how to send pictures. I know how to do it from Twitter.

I'm lucky that I live in between two big cities, NYC and Philadelphia. Much more concert opportunities around here! There's those two cities plus Atlantic City and there's a concert venue 5 minutes from my house. BSB is playing here in June!

Hmmm do you have my number? Because you can always just send me pics!! That would be pretty sweet!

You are lucky to live where you do for all those concerts!! Aw and BSB will be here in June too! I cannot wait. I'm dying of excitement!!

Tomorrow I will be headed up to Foxwoods to see my boys! (For those of you who don't know, that means NKOTB. I'm a huge Blockhead ). We scored VIP tickets to the afterparty and I GET TO MEET DONNIE WAHLBERG! I am freaking out and don't know how I'm going to last another 5 hours at work. I'm way too excited and drank too much coffee on top of that so I'm bouncing off the walls and practically skipping around the office. I'll probably post a mini-TR of my trip within this PTR so I'll try to take as many pictures as I can. Have a great weekend everybody!!!!

I didn't upload these to photobucket, just linked them from my facebook so I hope it works!

I went up to Foxwoods this weekend to see NKOTB and had an amazing time! I thought I'd post a mini-TR within this PTR.

So I left my house around 10:45 am to go get my sister. I made a stop at Best Buy to get batteries and a new memory card for my camera because I knew I'd be needing it! I then tried to go to Old Navy for $1 flip flops. It was a madhouse. There were women everywhere and the only color they seemed to have left was black so I hightailed it out of there. I got to my sister's around noon. She was almost finished packing, I hung around in her apartment for about 15-20 minutes and then we went across the street to pick up provisions (Corona ) and set off to Kris's house.

Kris had agreed to drive the rest of the way up to Connecticut. He lives about an hour north of me and Foxwoods is about 2 1/2 hours from there. We got to his place around 1 and were on the road at about 1:30. The trip seemed to take FOREVER. We hit pockets of traffic on I-95 (seriously, it's a SATURDAY, what gives? ) and we made a few pit stops and got to Foxwoods around 5. Finally! We were staying at MGM Grand, which is the newest hotel on the resort, on the 12th floor. Some pictures of our view:

I didn't really take room pictures but it was really nice. I liked the colors they used for the decor and the bathroom...oh I wanted to take it home with me! It was HUGE! Sliding entrance, large vanity, walk in rainfall shower with a bench, and the toilet was in a separate little nook. And there was a phone in there! I have never liked a bathroom so much.

Anyway we hung out in the room for awhile, getting ready and ordered some room service. Here's some pictures of us just chillin!

They had a curtain covering the stage with a countdown clock. It was pretty accurate! The music started up as soon as that thing hit zero!

Our seats weren't bad. We were the second to last row but the theatre was so small it didn't feel like we were very far away. We took self pics to keep ourselves amused!

The concert was good but I've seen better from them. It felt as though this were rushed. They didn't interact with the crowd much, just went from one song to the next. It was a short show. Ah well, it was still fun. They played a bunch of their new stuff, which is fine by me cause I know most of it, and remixed their old songs. They also did an acoustic set of slow songs and came out into the crowd to sing Tonight. Jordan, Joey, and Donnie each took their turn doing a solo part and although I'm a Joey girl, I have to say Donnie's was the best. LOVED that he did Rise & Grind! I'll let the pictures take over now!

Joey's solo part. Kris said he never saw anyone take out a camera that fast. It had nothing to do with the fact that he was shirtless.

After the show, it was time for the after party! We went back to the room to freshen up a bit (it was HOT in that theatre!) and made the looooooooong walk over to the Hard Rock cafe in the original Foxwoods building. I stess long because when we finally got to the door, my sister forgot her ID and they wouldn't let her in. So since I knew people inside, I went in and Kris being the sweetheart that he is, walked my sister all the way back to the room and to Hard Rock again.

The after party was fun but disorganized. We had VIP tickets and were in this little room to the side. Well, when I left the room and tried to get back in, they told me they were over capacity in there. Um, I don't care. I paid to be in there, I'm going in there. Then they were trying to kick people out into the main room! But it was worth it. I got to meet two awesome DISers, Crystal and Elena, from the NKOTB thread and...DONNIE WAS THERE! My sister went right up to him You can see the back of her head as she grabbed his face lol.

He took the stage for about 10 minutes to play DJ.

The highlight of the after party that made all the craziness worth it. Money shot!

My sister and I both got a hug and a kiss! All I could say was "Finally!" I finally met a NEW KID!

Oh BTW, that guy is Jimmy Marsh. He's on Donnie's label.

We left the party shortly after we met Donnie. That's all I really wanted and he wasn't taking the stage again. And the other boys weren't going to show since it was already 1 am! So we went back to the room where my sister promptly passed out face first in her pillow.

The next morning we dragged ourselves out of bed for check-out. We noticed SATC slot machines in the casino so my sis and I wanted to give those a try. I won $100! I wish I had taken a picture of the machine! It was so cute. It had four reels and they showed clips from the show and one of the bonus games I got involved shoes! Super cute!

This past weekend was a blast and I get to do it all over again Friday night in Atlantic City with another DISer! Hopefully, I will be closer to the stage this time!

NKOTB is always a blast, especially when a road trip is involved! I'm sure there will be lots of self pics of me and Shelby while we wait in line for GA.

I bet Donnie is still thinking about you!! Nice solo pics...I'm sure the shirtless didn't affect your camera taking out speed at all!!

The afterparty was just so unorganized. It was a strange venue to have it in since it's a restaurant and not really a club. They're having one in Atlantic City on Saturday and my sister wants to go but I'm supposed to see SATC with my friends. Plus I'll be down that way Friday night. Not really feeling driving down there two nights in a row plus spending all that money!!

Hi!! I'm going to miss reading your TR. I'm always sad when TRs come to a close. I love reading about other people's experiences there!

They were the biggest group in the world at one point; I think you had to be living under a rock in the late 80s/early 90s to not know who they are.

I went to the show last night too. Much better pictures from that one!

Haha was Kevin your favorite? I do miss him though!! I didn't think the ticket prices were too bad. I paid like $60 for floor seats which is how much I paid for upper level seats for Tim McGraw (its an outdoor place so not like indoor arenas, so its not bad!). They're meet and greet prices were redonk though, but I'm pretty sure they included pics and like a little private show or something!! That's so awesome!
