i need help....how much money do you think would be suitable for me and my girlfriend in WDW this february...from the 14th-19th? We're staying at CBR and we have UPH's...so park admission would be exclusive. So basically for food and souveniers...how much ya think?

PS: we're gonna go to the 4 parks PLUS blizzard beach possibly...

What ideas do you have for meals? Or snacks? Or souveniers?
We could be talking anywhere from $800 to $1200 for everything.

Are you small eaters? Is counter service good enough? Give us a few ideas, okay?

Couple words of advise. Overestimate in food (if you have some $ left over thats more to spend on souvies!) and dont forget to budget snacks and drinks. Bottled water alone will set you back $2-3 a pop.
You can go to allearsnet.com to check out the restaurants and their menus to see where you would be interested in eating and how much it will run you. Have a great time!!:)

scamahoy,

I know from another post you have at lest one PS made at EPCOT you need to take some time and go over the cost of the meals from Menus from Around the World: just click on th link below it will give you the prices for all Disney Restaurants

As far as souveniers that would depend on your girlfriend's and your likes? So kinda hard for us to help...Disney has cool gifts from just a few dollars to very expensive artworks and jewelry.

Depends on the restaurants you go to.....I would guess probably about $750+....you can always go home with extra!

We usually figure about $10 per person per meal, plus $5 for water, 2 bottles each, and another $5 for a snack. That's about $35-$40 per person per day. We always have enough for food, but then we usually only eat counter service. We have one $17 PS character breakfast buffet while there, too. So add that in. Then I decide what types of souveniers I want and add that. However, since we discovered Premium outlet mall on our last trip, we will have much more for souveniers now. (I bought over $300 worth of souvies for $80+).

Hope that helps. I also agree, check out the menus, it helps with deciding in advance where to go for meals, too. Nothing worse than standing around for 15 minutes trying to decide where to go to eat.

We don't usually eat breakfast, but sometimes will do one nice breakfast in WDW. Other than that, we usually do one counter service meal (@ $10 per adult) and one sit down meal (usually atleast $25 per adult). We also bring our own bottled water into the parks with us, but sometimes buy a coke and a snack. So, for just dh and I, I would budget $100/day for food. We would probably have some leftover; but I don't like feeling like I have to watch every penny while on vacation.

As far as souveniers go, we don't usually buy much. Sometimes a t-shirt or sweatshirt if there's one we really like. We always buy a few X-mas ornaments (5-10$/each), magnets (3-5$/each), and sometimes a coffee mug (maybe 12-15$)

Good luck on your planning! I would always rather plan on more than I would probably spend! That way you can come home with money for your next WDW vacation!;)

I would go with around 150.00 a day if it is just the two of you. I buy my water outside the park and then just fill it up at the water fountains around the park. We always eat breakfast outside the park then counter service for lunch and a decent dinner outside the park again. You wouldn't believe how much you can save by eating outside the park. We always do a character dinner, but since you don't have any kids with you, maybe you would like to try something like the California Grill. We always buy a little souvenier everyday.

When my wife and I go down to WDW (we stay at the moderates too), we figure about $100 a day for food. With that said, we usually eat breakfast in the room (bagels and such we buy at the local grocery store) and eat only one big meal for the day. We usually found it costs about $60-$80 for a sitdown meal (which includes 3-4 drinks).

Soveniers are above and beyond that amount.

and if we budget $125 per day we're usually fine! We don't buy a lot of souvenirs. A little, but we're not big spenders as far as that goes. However, we do like to eat well. We don't do 3 big expensive meals a day but we do like to eat at nice full-service restaurants. We typically stay 7 nights and we usually do 4 nice meals in the evenings, 2 nice breakfasts, maybe 1 nice lunch. The rest of the time we do quickie cheaper meals.

We always have the uph and just charge everything to the room with our room key/uph card. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We usually stay about 7 or 8 days, and the bill under our door, on the last day, usually runs about $100/day. After we check out we go downtown and shop for sovineirs which is generally under $200 total.

We aren't very conservative, while there, we all get together for a ps at a good resturaunt each day, then just snack the rest of the day. We buy bottled water and keep it in the room ( it kills me to pay $3 for a bottle of water).

We usually figure on $125 per day when it is just the 2 of us. We always have at least a nice sit down dinner. Not very big drinkers and never get dessert. We normally have a little money left over.
