How much money do most people spend on the 7-night western cruise? Including excursions, pictures, etc.? What's the highest and lowest amounts you have ever spent?:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I am budgeting about 1500 spending money for our 7 day including tips for my daughter and myself. I forget exactly what I spent on the 4 day but it was somewhere around 700 or so I think.

We spent $1,000 excluding excursions and tips. Just shipboard acct. Shutters, drinks, wine package, Bingo, souvenirs, etc.

Edited to add 2 adults 2 children on 7 night cruise.

I put this reply on the thread you started, but I'll post it here as well. This info comes from DCL:

Help! I'm really confused about tipping!
We'll make it easy. Of course, you should never feel that a reward is automatically expected from you. But it is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, which you will most likely be treated to in abundance aboard the ship. As a guideline, may we suggest the following:

Per Guest per cruise 3-Night 4-Night 7-Night
Dining Room Server 11.00 14.75 25.75
Dining Rm Asst. Server 8.00 10.75 18.75
Dining Rm Head Server 2.75 3.75 6.50
Stateroom Host/Hostess 10.75 14.50 25.25
Dining Manager Your Discretion
Room Service Your Discretion

For your convenience, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine, and deck service tabs. All gratuities can be charged to your room charge.

Well, we haven't been on the 7-day yet. But we did the 3-day in May and spent about $600 for just the two of us. That is including excursions and tips. We are going on the 7-day next May. We will have 4 adults that we are paying for and we are budgeting $2000. That's including excursions and tips.

Maybe because we sail once a year and I have learned to live as a single parent/single income household, but you can do the cruise, have a fabulous time and not spend hordes of cash. This past January we (my two teenaged daughters and myself) each participated in one excursion in Cozumel, enjoyed the trolley tour of Key West (independent of Disney), visited the Rainforest Room and splurged on one spa treatment and ended up with a $500 tab on our last day - not including gratuities. We never felt deprived or as though we were missing out of anything.

Enjoy - no matter what your budget may be,
Dawn Hope
