Spending Christmas in Disney??

Ok-Part 2

"Did you do anything Special leading up to Xmas day??" Did you book a Xmas dinner or did you prepare your own traditional dinner?

We were thinking we may do our own meal but would love to hear what others have done.

Is there anything special happening at the resort on Xmas Eve?

I'm sure there are many discussions within the boards-not sure where to find them.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am a planner and want to be ready to book anything that may need to be done early on. :surfweb:

The day before Christmas is so exciting. We usually would go to Epcot and visit all the different Santas from the other countries and if the weather was nice we would then spend an hour or two at Typhoon Lagoon. Then it w3as back to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner and then enjoyed the festivities in the hotel lobby. Over the years , Christmas Eve was a party. In the lobby they would have a brass band playing and victorian carollers singinging along with Santa and a host of characters. Other years it would be different musical
groups, like a dixie band or a thre quitarists playing songs (my favorite). This would go on from 6 to 9. Then at 9 we would got to the MK since it would usually be open till 11 or 12. Christmas day we would relax and then eat dinner at an Epcot restaurant and enjoy the Candlelight Processional eith the dining package.

They used to hang stockings filled with candy and goodies on Christmas morning, but they stopped that about 5 years ago.

We plan to do Epcot as well on Xmas Eve to visit all the Santas...not sure on dinner yet. On Xmas Day we want to have breakfast at CRT and then dinner at LTT. That may change though but it's our plan for now! :goodvibes

Just did this year (and last year) and it was just great again. The weather was so good and they still give you a touch of snow.
