Not that it matters, but girly drinks with umbrellas in them are frou-frou drinks. Foo-foo is a little bunny's name.

Little Rabbit foo-foo hopping through the forest, picking up the field mice and bopping them on the head

Then DOOOWWWWNNN came the good fairy and SHE said, "little rabbit foo-foo I don't want to see you picking up the field mice and bopping on the head"

And along those lines, this is Foofy-Foofy...

1. "as long as you know what the poster means, what do you care?"
2. "If had known I was going to be graded on my posts, I would have proofread."
3. "Grammar Nazi!"
4. "I thought it was 'foo-foo':confused3 "
5. "Oh, goodie, another DIS grammar lesson.:sad2:"
6. "My cousin has that learning disability that makes you spell 'frou-frou' f-o-o-f-o-o."

You forgot MY standard response to spelling and grammar threads - "I have enough to worry about already to worry about someone else's spelling and grammar."

Then come up with a couple more complaints about how bad spelling and grammar are hazardous to your health.

After that, you can ask for the thread to be closed, because there is nothing left to say.

Took the words out of my mouth.

I knew exactly what you meant and have no further comment. :thumbsup2

There are two times I will say something about grammar/spelling of another.

a) If the poster is correcting someone else's grammar/spelling, and they make an error.

b) If I can't understand the poster.

I understand both 'frou-frou' and 'foo-foo', and I didn't notice an error in the OP, so I have nothing else to say.

I'd want to get my personal favorite, "wallah", taken care of before I'm willing to go to the mattresses on frou-frou. :lmao:

I find this extra funny since I have a froofy countdown. But apparently it would be a FROUfy countdown?

Ok, I'm looking at this going, "wallah"? WTH is wallah? How do you even say wallah?

And then, voila, I got it.

Thank you for that. I was wondering the same.

Edited to add: I'm also a little curious and intrigued by the "not willing to go to the mattresses" expression. I've always heard it "willing to go to the mat", but "mattresses" do add some interest to the expression.
