Speed dial

We were watching one of the Seinfeld reruns last night. They had the one about the speed dial on. I remember when that epi first aired. My brother got so mad because he found out he was #3 on my speed dial. Many years later, he's bumped up to #2 on speed dial. My mom's always been the #1 on my speed dial.

Who's got the #1 spot on your speed dial?

We went to WDW in 2000. My SO, my DS and I drove. My brothers, my niece, nephews, SIL's and my DD flew. My SO and I stopped about an hour from my brother's house to call to see if they were home yet (this was before I had a cell phone ). I got up to the pay phone and drew a blank. I couldn't find my address book. I couldn't call him, I forgot the number. All I knew was he was Memo #3. I still don't know his number.

I forget the numbers too, when they are on speed dial. So I carried a list of numbers with me.

911 was speed dial #1.

This is going to sound bad, but #1 is an ex-girlfriend I broke up with five years ago. I couldn't remember how to reprogram it and didn't feel like looking for the book so she is still there. #2 is a really good friend of mine and #9 is my parents (they were about to move at the time I programmed the phone and they didn't have their new number yet). All the other slots are people I don't see anymore or whose numbers have changed. I'm overdue for a new phone and this time I will keep the book handy

Don't have speed dial on my phone. I just use the directory to dial the numbers for me.

I don't have a "1", mine starts with 2 and that's DH at work. #3 is my Mom.
