Speculation on handling RSR and E&A on the same day?

With the new news this morning I now I have to figure out what a DCA morning looks like if we'd like to do Radiator Springs Racers and Elsa and Anna, not to mention Olaf!

Any possibility that with it being new and not "official" until Jan 7 that we'll have an easier go of it on Dec 26? No, you don't think so? Yeah, me either.

So, what's a Mom to do to make the most of this? If anyone has any scoop on what the processes might be for E&A or Olaf, I'd love to start putting a thought to it.

Guess we'll see how it goes!

I think it's ultimately going to come down to whether or not they have FPs or Return Tickets (RT) or neither for A&E and/or Olaf once the Frozen Fun gets going. At this point, the first concrete information is starting to come out about Frozen Fun, but the details, like FP/RT have not been announced. You might ask about it on the Parks Blog entry and hope that you get an answer.

Sherry just posted a link to the press release that confirms that A&E will still use the RT system over at DCA. So at least that's now known. It doesn't say how guest will go about meeting Olaf.

At this point, I'm inclined to say that the priority will be getting the RT for A&E, then Olaf, then the RSR FP.

Do you only have one day for DCA? I ask because it might be easiest to deal with the Frozen stuff one morning and then get the RSR FP a different day. RSR FPs aren't distributed until the park opens, so you should be able to get one even if DCA has EMH that day.

Hmm definitely interesting. I'd imagine that Anna and Elsa would be a priority over RSR. I haven't seen it or experienced it first hand, but the demand for them seems to be ridiculous. There are multiple ways to get on RSR besides rope drop - FPs, getting on right before closing, single rider.

The Mice Age post a few days ago said that Olaf would use a pager system like Dumbo at WDW. Now that doesn't necessarily indicate how you get a turn to get in the building.

Yeah we only have one day which is definitely an issue. It's also the first time DD4 is tall enough for RSR so both of our first rides, DD11 has always had to ride by herself.

We have met E&A in WDW so if need be we'll sacrifice them for Olaf and RSR.

If you've already met A&E at WDW, then I would also focus on Olaf and RSR.

Although, when did you meet A&E at WDW? A&E (at least at this point) are still meeting guests together at DLR. I know WDW separated them sometime earlier this year. Some folks really like getting photos with A&E together and the chance to interact with both of them at the same time. I have to admit that I met A&E at WDW and DLR this year, and I do think having them together made for better interactions (because they could play off of each other). Still, if you've already seen them in WDW, seeing them in DLR is less of a priority.

I like the Dumbo pager system to some degree. The play area is cute and keeps kids entertained better than in line. I'm wondering if they'll do a RT/FP-type system for getting the pager. That would make the most sense to me because I'm guessing Olaf will be popular.

At least, you'll have a few days before you go to see what the early reports are saying. Hopefully there will be folks that go that week before Christmas and can report back how things are going.

Thanks. Sounds about like I was thinking too. We met the ladies at Epcot when try were still together so have had that experience. That said my 4yo may greatly disagree with skipping them. Lol.

I will definitely be keeping a close eye starting the 20th.
