Kathy

Yay for the Grey Goose Slushies!!! I am happy all of you got to get together in WDW, it looks like you are having so much fun. The pictures from TT were hilarious :thumbsup2. I can't wait to read more.

Stay tuned... Four more days of school for us then things will slow down and I'll work on an update or two!

Hi Guys! Finally all caught up. Fell behind due to Mairead's graduation festivities and our trip "Home". It was an amazing 12 days (1wk WDW, 4days Vero). Came home to Deridre's dance recital and have worked 6 shifts in the past 4 days. Should be sleeping but instead I'm DISing. ;)

The Epcot night was so much fun! It was my first Grey Goose Slushie and it was so yummy. Was funny to be drinking it with gloves on. I introduced DH to them on our trip, it was just as yummy and sure hit the spot in the June heat. :thumbsup2

Yes, Amy the little girl that tried to stand in front of us was also the one that peed her pants because the parents wouldn't take her to the bathroom. We were right by one in the UK too.

Time to get this show on the road... Let me start this update by saying that I don’t know who took which pictures… I’m sure most of them are not mine!! We dumped them into a shared photobucket account.

We repeated the morning routine from the day before & headed to the bus stop. It was very convenient that our villa was so close to the bus stop. Somebody snapped this picture while we waited:

A couple of those balconies were ours. Did we have three?

As you can see it was a chilly morning!

We made our way into the park and Julie & I took off for fastpasses. The other ladies more leisurely made their way to Expedition Everest:

We had to cut our tour short, but we were able to help save a baby elephant:

After the safari we split up. It was time to catch a show!

thanks for bumping us along Amy :thumbsup2

I totally forgot you and I were the Fast Pass runners on this ride too...

we did have a fun morning and were glad that there was no rain today. We also saw on the safari some of the new Trek elements along the route.

I also love the pix (whoever took it) on EE of us on the train before we drop back backwards...you can see my hands up WHEEEE!

I look like I'm praying....Anne Marie looks like she's in pain and Jessica looks like she is having the time of her life.....:confused3

Danica is currently napping, Liam is watching a Handy Manny DVD and I have a brand new super duper fast computer in which to get caught up on the DIS with!

I want to go back to Epcot and give my review of the mini sip n' snack game (that I partially stole, partially made up) for those of you that might think about doing it.

In theory it was a great idea. It got us excited for Epcot and gaveus a fun afternoon at the villa with picking out our items and countries. Unfortunately I feel like it lacked in execution. The items for us to get were too easy....now I know that some of the moms will disagree with that but we should have had to hunt and discover more in the countries to find our things to eat/drink. And if I was ever to play the game again I would make sure that it was the whole reason for being at Epcot...we got too split up trying to do the game and see the sights of world showcase at the same time. It should be one or the other.

We received the text(s) from Heidi where she was and headed on that way…

Heidi had found us a great spot near the wall w/ several tables and chairs that was off to the side of the QS Yorkshire County Fish Shop.

It was actually on the opposite side....just past the outdoor seating for the Rose and Crown. I had always assumed that was R&C seating so I've never tried to sit there before....always pays to ask! :woohoo:

We got settled in and then Heidi and I went off for another Grey Goose Run for herself and Kathy …at first I was just going w/ Heidi to help carry but then decided to get a 2nd one too. (Heidi actually bought it for me and i bought her a souvie later at AK the next day in exchnage) We didn’t get the little fancy flute glasses this time but asked for plastic cups (like they put beer in)…think we got a bit more in there :rolleyes1 …We had a fun time talking and walking back trying not to slosh our drinks...

That beer cup tip is one I got here on the DIS

2011_0121Misc0246.jpg

We had to guard our little coveted table area from some families in particular this one family who were tempting to lift their kids over the garden railing into the table area to stand in front of us…seriously? :confused3

I had my back turned to this family the whole time they're were trying to do this and I was probably the closest one to them. I hear one of the mom's say something about someone trying to get in front of us on the wall but I thought it was just a general comment .....so I say out loud and probably loud since I was on my 3rd or 4th cocktail at that point "Oh don't worry, Amy will hit them with her hot poker!"

Well as Jess and I were having fun and Amy was dialing the phones off her cell, " Hello is this is the Queen ..." the middle phone rang so I answered it, but it wasn’t Amy…it was some guy. When he asked who I was…I said I was Scrappie J- and he replied he was Scrappie J-J….haha :lmao:

2011_0121Misc0259.jpg

We had a pretty good laugh over that. :rotfl:

I could have done the prank phone calls all night! Didn't I get some teenager on the phone...confuse him and then ask him if he was with a kid wearing such and such (as I was looking right at them). Maybe he thought it was like Push or West Palm!

--------------------------------------------

Now I have never seen the Captain EO show before nor do I usually drink 3 large alcoholic slushie drinks…the mixture of the two…made me a bit loopy and as I remarked laughing those grey goosies have me my loosie.

If you want to enjoy Captain EO to the fullest there is a 2 drink minimum before you get to the door.

100_3305.jpg

After giggling our way through the show, Heidi, Amy and I took a pit stop in the “best” restroom at Disney :thumbsup2

And then went to sit outside the Land to wait for the others. And then the infamous 3-semi juiced up Spectrum Mom concert began…

I really didn’t think any one of us was drunk…but we were having a blast late at night at Disney, it was a wonderfully cool evening and seriously we were just enjoying each other’s company…we began signing outload songs off our phones and other guests would walk by and applaud “oh look some entertainment” one guest said…

Fun Fun Fun! One of my favorite memories from the trip!

We had a great flight and after that, Heidi was tired and decided she wanted to go on SSE one time and head back to the resort.

I'm old enough now to know when it's time for me to go home....leave while you are still having fun! I never did ride SSE that night....my feet were killing me and I needed to be able to walk the next day. I did however score a plush Mears bus for the ride back to the Villa!

It worked out perfectly that I took off early...I would have had to sit on Jessica's lap in the car!

Yes we had 3, every room had a balcony. I think I might have been the only one that spent any time out there. I remember having breakfast and chatting with DH out there one morning.

Heidi...do elaborate on the food n sip game...do you feel the food picks were secondary in our touring time then  I enjoyed it and have thought about opening this option to the kids for Jan.

I's also be willing to try this again for another adult only trip...may be fun w/ F&W F :thumbsup2

also glad you have a computer up and going :cool1: and as always you crack me up :rotfl: you are too fun! can't wait to do Disney w/ yopu again! :3dglasses

There was just so much going on the first part of our Epcot night that I think a lot of stuff just got hectic in a sense.

We were doing the mini sip and snack game
Doing a couple attractions/shows
Running for drinks
Shopping
Doing the KP mission
Doing your scavenger hunt thing

I hardly remember seeing Kathy or Jessica most of that part of the night. And we were all pretty split up and there was times when some moms were just waiting for others.

Where as in the second half of the evening we all sat together (at UK) and had drinks and snacks and watched Illuminations together...then we split into 2 small groups but still doing something more organized.

I guess I'm just making a general comment that I much preferred when we were all together.

Back to the food game....I think it would have been more fun if we all had to get something from the same country so we would have stayed together. Maybe not have the same game "item" to get but just so we traveled in a group.

Maybe a mix and match format would work for the kids. 3 countries, 3 items and they match whatever item they want to whichever country they want.

I want to do a super duper sip n' snack for Food & Wine in the future. Maybe a team challenge!

This is one of my favorite pictures of the entire weekend! :lovestruc

This was the first time I had ever experienced the Expedition Everest standby queue... it was amazing! I almost (almost!) wished the line moved slower so I could take in all the amazing details!

**Sorry for being AWOL the past few weeks... today was Tricia's last day of school and tomorrow is Billy's. Busy, busy, busy! I have a few days off coming up so hopefully I will be able to fit in more DIS-time! :thumbsup2

Oh, and HEY!! I just realized that today is 99 days 'til my Birthday Weekend SOLO!!!! I'm in Double Digits!!!

I find myself wishing for a slower moving line sometimes too! If a que is totally empty I'll just hang back to look at stuff and tell people to go right ahead of me as they come in.
