I did a few trip-related things today, even though I had to work....

* Bought 2 new pairs of jeans
* Did a little travel aisle shopping
* Decided which bags I'll take (park, carry-on, checked bag)

I'm feeling a lot better... that cold I got last week really knocked me on my butt! I'll have to get my checklist together soon.

I recently downloaded the Disney countdown app on my iphone & this is what I get to look at every day:

I'll change up the backgrounds if I post it again so you can see what else it has to offer!

I am loving it...so sad I don't have that on BB

but my biggest accomplishment was getting my hair colored (dark chocolate brown) and cut in a new layered style. They took off about five inches. Whew!


can't wait to see it!

I'll be coming down w/ semi straight hair ladies...then it will be curls rest of the days...I think I have posted pics of me as both straight and curls though


Thanks for the Southwest reminder, I forgot to do that for my Christmas trip and paid the consequences with crapolla seats.

My yesterday was pretty productive. Folded about 12 loads of laundry that had been washed over the past two weeks but never folded.

Ok.... here goes. I didn't like the way the hairdresser styled it after the cut so here is today's look with my natural curl. It's the 'end of the day' look but you get the idea.

Not at all! I was thinking exactly the same thing when I couldn't sleep last night!

I have to wait to get a new ink thingie for my printer before I print all my stuff (well the stuff I can't print at work on the laser ) but that's ok because I keep adding little things to my touring cards.

I'm going to shoot for Friday to do my iron ons when Danica is napping.....wish me luck

I still need to work on my home schedule but it shouldn't be too difficult since I was just away for a Thursday-Sunday weekend in the fall. I'll just update those lists.

My suitcase is a bit fuller than the first pix I posted several weeks ago, take a look:

I have 2 Disney shirts, 1 spare Disney shirt and my shirt for Day 1, one layering shirt (so far), 1 pair of jeans, my Christmas Mickey jammies, croc sandles, 2 layering tank tops, most of all my tolietries, misc items, and more...plus a few surprises

The other 2 bags you see are: the large canvas tote is my WDW one which is my carry-on. Here is a peek inside:

a non Disney book to read (if needed), my Disney rain poncho, Disney refilable mug, misc travel items, and my D&B...a few more things will go in too.

the other bag-blue DVC (recognize it, Anne Marie) is for my pj's, med's etc that I need for Wed night, when I sleep over at my parents (did I explain that already )

Since I am pretty well packed minus a few more things, I didn't want to unflod/unpack to show you all my goods...I took a few smaller things to showcase:

the red strap is a water bottle strap (actually my Mom's, mine was a MGM one that was lost during our 08 trip ), my lanyard and pouch (see my AP!)...I use my lanyard to hold my school id for lunch duty so I will add some fun non trading pins to it later.

Mickey band aids for little boo-boo's, my Mickey silly band that I'll wear (one of Rachel's friends gave it to me), jibbitz for my crocs, my favorite bracelet (that I'll wear w/ a few other non Disney ones, and some Vegas chips...oh I mean mints

Ok are you ready....

so this has been a long process (really from the very begining of the planning)...deciding OOP vs DDP, where everyone wanted to eat, what places we wanted to eat in EP-WS....over the last 2 days I have narrowed down my options by meals, parks, and came up w/ an estimated total using some of Heidi's ideas and suggestions (thank you!)

Heidi explained the FL food tax id 6.5 % and she generally takes her highest cost option (rounded) to help come up w/ an OOP budget...I haven't done all OOP since 2005...so this was a challange for me.

The hardest park to pre-plan for was EP since we'll be snacking around the World and playing the Sip & Snack game...so I tried to pick as many options I thought I'd be interested in and narrowed it down to main meal, Alcoholic drinks, snacks and treats options.

For each meal I came up w/ a possible max total and also came up w/ park totals (as some places I'll eat more times at).

My total is quite high for only 1 person for 4 days...but I think it's pretty good. As Heidi said better to over budget than under budget

Let's take a look:

My food picks​

Total estimate food budget $202.15 in parks $174.15 ($37.15 is TS meal) which means about $140 which is excellent I have 1 g/c already for $150...know I don't plan to spend this much...but hopefully you'll see how I came up w/ this figure...

Meals:

Day 1 Thurs 1-20 B airport muffin/bagel something from hm and a purchased hot drink & gingerale L Mara (AKL) D & S Sunset Market or BLE (DHS)

Day 2 Fri 1-21 B in villa L CHH or Pecos Bill + S elsewhere (MK) D snacking around WS (EP)

Day 3 Sat 1-22 B in villa L Yak & Yeti (AK) D 1900 PF

Day 4 Sun 1-23 B in villa L CHH or Pecos Bill + treat for later (MK) D in airport ($20-chrage)

Options:

as stated above these are menu choices I found on AllEars that I'm interested in and costs. I have noted the highest possible total w/ tax

Mara-chicken flatebread (8.29) or turkey ciabatta (8.59) and zebra domes (3.69) up to $13.09 w/ tax

EPCOT (snacking around the world) thinking I could order up to 1 main meal, 3 snacks (maybe split w/ others) 2 treats and up to 2 alcoholic drinks. I have bolded the highest price points as that is what I added to figure my overall budget

So I am hoping I am way off and don't nearly spend this much so I can buy myself an extra souvie
