Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

Well you are going to be in for a treat then because it is so much better when you have the front of the castle in view because of where the fireworks are shot off from.

Sounds like Tomorrowland would be a good place to start that night and then work our way to Frontierland for the parade since all of the rides/attractions that we wanted to do that night are on the left side of the park.

Has anyone heard or "seen" Kathy anywhere??? Girl has gone missing again

Yes AMY you are in for a huge treat!!! :cool1:

Heidi I think that plan sounds quite Perfect it should from our resident MRYPPNS ;)

and no I have not heard from her here or email :confused3

KATHY where are you????

I was wondering the same thing.

Now Listen gals, you might need to be sitting down for this one, cause here is my opinion on Wishes....

I have NEVER seen it :scared1:(ok, pick your mouths up off the floor), so will be happy with whatever you all decide.:goodvibes

and I had to go back and add that this post was my 1000th post

Thanks everyone for your prayers and condolences. For our readers, we lost my MIL unexpectedly this past Friday. FIL passed last Oct so we're heading down a long sad road of settling their estate.

:scared1: You are in for a REAL treat!

As for my preferred location, we usually sit down by the Rose Garden or on the bridge/walkway to Tomorrowland. You get a perfect view of Tink in both places.

and Happy New Year!!!

Heidi, John, Liam and Danica

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a nice day starting at 5:30am!! :scared1: The kids were a little excited... :rolleyes1

We got a few nice Disney related gifts... a couple Disney gift cards, Mickey earrings from Santa for me, trading pins from Santa for the boys & new Guide to the Magic books to the boys from me & DH.

After all the fun (& work) of Christmas day was over, a sense of excitement & anticipation for my two upcoming trips took over!! :cool1::cool1:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Weeks and weeks of planning, shopping and wrapping all came down to an hour of paper strewn everywhere, smiles and cheers -- sounds a little like what happens planning a Disney trip!

Ladies, our trip is SO CLOSE and I am sooooo incredibly excited to be going with all of you! :grouphug: :grouphug: The Disney Christmas parade was so much more fun to watch this year knowing we were there..... and that I'm going back! ;)

Heidi, what cute kiddos you have :santa: - those pictures are adorable.

Hello everyone! Sorry to have gone AWOL... when Life gets busy I tend to drop out of cyberspace...

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Now that the Christmas rush is over I plan to savor the anticipation of our Moms trip to its fullest! :cool1:

Wow... we are getting close!!

Kathy

Yay Kathy's back!! :cool1: I figured it was a case of the Christmas rush as I was having trouble keeping up with everything too!

24 days to go!! :banana::banana:

I started gathering my Disney t-shirts together last night & finally finished emptying out my carry-on bag from my fall trip so I can fill it up for this trip! :woohoo:

I'll be working on my Disney wardrobe this week, after I get my little baby well. Guess he isn't such a baby, he is going to be 3 in February.

:cool1: Glad you are back Kathy, I was getting worried about you. How is everything?

my to do list for this week (I'm off this week so have to get a lot of things checked off):

get suitcase out of storage
iron on shirt designs
purchase travel toiletries
make my purse size travel binder, hehe
type ltr to Jacks teacher about my trip
make boys schedule for dh and my parents
pick out my tiara
start to pack :cool1:

24 DAYS!!!! Make looking to 2011 all that much more fun :dance3:

With 23 days left to go... I want to know what each of us are most looking forward to!

I think we will all say that we are very excited to meet each other, spend time together in the most magical place in the world and be involved with Kathy's book. But what else are we looking forward to?

I am excited to see Wishes from the front of the castle, to explore Epcot and maybe try something new to eat when we play Heidi's sip & snack game. I'm excited to see the new Winnie the Pooh queue and to ride RnRC with Julie! She always misses out on her family trips so I'm excited for her to ride my favorite ride again. And I can't wait to stay at Kidani!!

How about the rest of you Spectrum Moms? What are you most looking forward to?

oohhh I love Amy's answers....

I am looking forward to many of those same things...

* flying/traveling for the first time alone from my family EVER! good thing I have Anne Marie as my travel partner

* staying at another Disney resort (thanks Kathy!)

* meeting all these ladies and seeing Amy face to face...we have had some wonderful conversations on the phone :goodvibes

But probably the one thing I am most looking forward to on this trip is having a grey goose slushie

OK and going on all the thrills :woohoo:

but know for sure beyond the rides, food and fun...just the wonderful conversations and experience that will be had w/ some amazing women and MOM"s that go through the same stuff I do every day :grouphug:

J~

22 days....its getting so close, i love these final weeks before a trip when you are planning all the little details and pulling out the suitcases! Time is gonna fly from here on out!!!

I koved the analogy of Christmas morning to a Disney trip. Months of work and planning and suddenly, POOF it's over! :lmao:

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone face-to-face and getting a little "adult" time with friends... I don't seem to get very much of that anymore... and to do all this at WDW is simply a dream come true! :cloud9:

Kathy

I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone about ASD, I love hearing stories and such and don't get the opportunity often.

I can't wait to have a break from home and all that it entails (I'm finding out that I really do need a "solo" break every year from my "real" life...I'm over due now!!)

And I'm excited to do all the Disney stuff that I can't do on my family vacation (the following month). I think it will really allow me to be more relaxed in what I feel we "need" to do when we go and I'll be able to enjoy myself more because I was just there.

Plus I can not wait for our 1900 Park Fare dinner......I think that is just going to be a HOOT!!!

Good answers so far ladies!

The first thing that popped into my head was getting a break from the routine at home. Lunches, homework, schedules, driving, etc, etc, etc.

After that I look forward to talking with other moms that "get it" and have "been there, done that". Getting to do all of this in my happy place is the bonus. I can't wait for the fireworks, thrills and AKV.

This may sound like a cop out but I'm really looking forward to everything...

I have only been to WDW once before and that was on my honeymoon 6 1/2 years ago, so I'm looking forward to being immersed in the Disney experience, and experiencing a lot of firsts (rides I've never been on, food I've never eaten, conquering fears-flying, etc.) with a group of women who I know are strong, caring, and just beautiful people.

I too like most of the moms am looking forward to some time away from the realities of life. I have never been away from my children over night, so this will be challenging for my whole family, but I think necessary. I know I need some time away to feel refreshed

What are you most looking forward to?

What I'm most looking forward to is tough to narrow down. :scratchin Amy's exactly right to say we're all excited to be a part of Kathy's book and this incredible experience she's offered to us to stay at AKV  and meet one another at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I'm a bit nervous flying on my own but also a bit excited too. First off, I can't wait to Magically Express to the resort and see our room!

The parks from strictly an adult perspective will be very different for me. When we're not holding her hand, my husband and I are always on "high alert" to keep Ariana in our sites and because of her silent wandering, we're constantly telling and asking one another where she is. Not having to do that will be a huge change and I'm sure I'll catch myself looking for her once and a while! I'm going to miss her and my family something fierce, but I'm looking forward to relaxing and soaking it all in.

As Anne Marie said, I'm also really looking forward to talking with and learning from Mom's that "get it". Especially Kathy, since Billy and Ariana are so similar, I'll love sharing stories with all of you. :lovestruc

Grey Goose Slushie(s), 1900 Park Fare ---- everything!

Guess I didn't really narrow it down did I? :rotfl:
