Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

WOOT WOOT!!! Love the list!! I so can't wait to see the pictures from the scavenger hunt!!!

7. Mom in an interesting hat or a kimono (Julie)

Ok at first I admit...what my number wasn't picked :sad1: but man I love this one!!!

I have many a great goofy hat picture of myself, kids or my DH and friends from all our trips...this is right up my alley for sure :goodvibes

So what are our plans for this trip? After many emails back and forth, this is a rough outline of what we came up with:

Thursday, 1/20: Arrival & DHS (Fantasmic!)
Friday, 1/21: Magic Kingdom in the morning, mid-day break, Epcot in the evening (Illuminations & EMH)
Saturday, 1/22: Animal Kingdom in the morning, mid-day break, 1900 Park Fare dinner, Magic Kingdom evening (MSEP & Wishes)
Sunday, 1/23: Open day for everyone to do what they want & head home. :sad2: (It's sad to write it, even when it's four months away!)

We have also scheduled "book time" (formal discussions) on Thursday night and during our Friday & Saturday mid-day breaks. Kathy will be in charge of this time and can do with us as she pleases! :rotfl:

I love our itinerary.....we hit all the parks without being on the go the whole time.
I can't wait to see what I want to do come that Sunday morning. We're calling it a "Free to Choose" day, so there are no group plans....at all. Each mom can decide to do whatever she wants and invite (or not) anyone to join her. I might want to go crazy and hit multiple parks before my (late) flight home, or just enjoy one park for an easy day, or even have a lazy day of sitting in a lounge chair with a book like I did on my last solo trip. I'm also toying with the idea of treating myself to a great breakfast at one of the resorts.

Destination: The African Safari, the Asian Tiger Trails, and some encounters w/ some large mice….

What to pack: boots, pith helmets, water, lipstick, and a great “touring plan”

Come join us as we plan a day at the Animal Kingdom!

Deciding on an itinerary for 4 days…was actually quite easy…but figuring out what to do or how to plan these days amongst 7 women, well that is the hard part.

As there were many similarities there were also just as many differences…hence lots and lots of emails. We came up with each MOM picking their TOP 5 or more items (attraction, show, things to do)-this was one spreadsheet, then we each picked our top eating choices (CS and Snacks)-that’s another spreadsheet AND we determined a basic time frame of when we wanted to be in the parks and getting down to business w/ book talks-which of course is yet another spreadsheet….

(we are spreadsheet crazy cause I know there are a few more)

We had decided early on we didn’t necessarily need a rigid touring plan of every thing we wanted to do…but then we also realized… 7 ladies w/ various touring styles could cause us to more like “tourists” than seasoned DISERS….the “light” touring plans were born. Basically a guide of what we’d like to do and a way to get it done…nothing in stone here as anything from weather to a major Dole Whip craving could veer us off course…

Heidi & I decided to tackle AK and EP…while Anne Marie and Amy are in charge of MK and DHS.

So let’s take a peek…set your eyes on a pictorial tour:

Overall it will be a GREAT DAY!.....

Stay tuned for more….coming soon The Mom’s hit EPCOT…do a world wide food and drink tour at World Showcase…plus find out about another game the Mom’s will be playing at WS (sorry this one isn’t interactive…but you will like it).

Julie (Scrappie) for all

this sounds great....I feel I may want to visit MK again..it is my favorite place and it was hard to pick just 5 things I'd like to do there...as well if Thurs didn't prove time worthy for a stop at the Marketplace for a little shopping, I may want to do that too...I figure most likely I'll still want to hang w/ someone and make sure to say good-bye to all before busting out the door :goodvibes and at somepoint if I'm not w/ Anne Marie already we'll meet up and spend the last bit of time together...plus her, you (Heidi), Amy and I believe Kathy we'll all be taking the same DME bus sadly back to MCO together...but let's not think about that yet...;)

I love how you have come up with touring plans and I love that you have two teams for the time you are splitting up. Very neat! Love the spreadsheet of course too. :rotfl2:

I know what you mean, Heidi!

I have no idea what I want to do on our Free Day... I think I'll wait until the last minute and go where the spirit moves me! (Something we rarely do on family trips.)

I've read on other reports that some people like to head out to the resort bus stop in the morning and hop on the first bus that comes along! Sounds like that could be fun...

Kathy
