Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

What a fun morning  So glad the rain let up for you! Those photopass pics look great, can't wait to see where he took you next :)

Jacks reaction to the stitch pages was less than magical... I'll wait a couple days and show him again.

He sometimes needs some time to process things like that, last year we got him a big boy bike for his birthday, which he had picked out, when we gave it to him he threw a big fit and pushed it down saying he wanted one like Joey (a tricycle). This happened several times after we kept picking the bike up, so we put it away. After a couple days he loved his bike, and still does. Not sure why his first reaction is like that, but we just try and stay positive and revisit things.

I love reading about fantastic CM's like this, they really can make our trips magical. I am really enjoying this trip report, it is wonderful!!

So where did our very fun and exuberant Photopass Photographer Vistation take us?

7 ladies

7 dwarves

He was so cute in a way leading us over toward a special Expansion sign w/ the 7 dwarves on it and having us pose and get into the act. Some other CM was watching and getting into it as well as several guests were watching and looking, trying to figure out why were we so special…

This sorta dashed our hopes of getting through the WTP standby line now…but this FAB pix’s certainly made up for it!

Can it get any better I ask?

Now that were famous and people were lining up for our autographs…JK We counted up to make sure we were all accounted for…good thing we had those numbers on our backs…

And it was now time for lunch, we were hungry. CHH came first so that is where we went.

Before we went in, I pin traded for my son Nathan again, Kathy snapped this shot of me:

It wasn’t to busy yet, so we all quickly got through the lines and found some empty tables upstairs to spread out at.

As you can see my legs were up and my 6 Mom’s were offering me ice and medicine…I wasn’t feeling all that bad after the fall anymore, but going up the stairs you could feel the strain in my ankle and calf…let’s hope I don’t have anymore problems.

I believe Tracy snapped some pictures:

We all had a lovely meal and some good conversation went around…we plotted out our next move and decided to visit the Happy Haunts across the way…

Kathy and Tracy captured some great shots of this ever fun ride…

Before we left the Stretching Room, Heidi reminded us to stay back to hear the gargoyles!

After we gathered our hitchhiker ghosts for the rest of the day…onward we went!

Stay tuned our let the other Mom’s jump in and take us forward in our tale as we go on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness and meet a special Pirate too…

Great Update!!!

I will get to try CHH for this first time on my upcoming trip and I am making my 7 year old go on Haunted Mnasion for the first time too (i'm sure she will get over it!!)

MMM!! The Anchors Away Sandwich... wish I had one right now!

As you may have noticed after seeing Tracy's pictures, the upstairs at Coumbia Harbor House is definitely less crowded than downstairs. *Good to remember if you need a more quiet and less stimulating place to eat for a cranky adult or child, autistic or not!*

I remember feeling so bad for Julie; she was trying to reassure us that her slip-and-fall was not such a big deal, but we knew she was hurting. I'm glad she chose to put her legs up for a bit.

Our "celebrity" photo shoot with Visitation, the amazing photopass photographer was one of the highlights of the morning, if not of the entire weekend. It was so much fun! He really did make us feel like movie stars! :smooth:

thanks :goodvibes ooh we love CHH and as kathy said we [my family] ALWAYS sit upstairs it is great....I love the food there :thumbsup2

good luck on that HM attempt...our middle DD at 2 1/2 went on no issue, then 2nd trip at 5 1/2 was flipping a bit but went on...3rd trip at 6 got on but tricky...then 4th trip this past Nov at age 8...just absoultely refused to go on...completely tramatized by the whole thing...so hence she didn't go on :headache: :confused3

man o man...all I say good luck ;)

The pics of you 7 & the 7 dwarfs..so cute!!

Love CHH. We always sit upstairs also. That was great that it was not busy & Julie could put her feet up.

Those photopass pictures are AMAZING!! That is some fantastic photopass photographer!!

I have yet to try the Anchor's Away sandwich, maybe this next trip? Some people don't know it but there is an elevator that can be used to go upstairs at CHH. You just have to talk to a CM and they will take you up. Bill and I loved how quiet it was up there.

Hooray for food porn!!! CHH is a favorite, I know that I can always find something there to suit everyone.

You ladies really got into the spirit of Photo Pass!! I love it! It seems your photographer really likes his job, too.:goodvibes I cannot wait for the new expansion to open. I'm very sorry that ToonTown is gone now. RIP.

Okay, what is the "gargoyles" noise and why have I never heard about that? I'll definitely have to investigate that in approximately 6 days!!!:cool1: Is there anything that you ladies would like while I'm down there?

Hang back in the stretching room after everyone else has left and you can hear the gargoyles that are on the walls sort of whispering and making noise. They added it a few years ago when they re-did all the audio and put in the new Bride scene(s).

I'll have a Dole Whip Float please. And some popcorn too!

Heidi if the Dole Whip would ship, I would send it your way. How about some food pics? I can do that at least in the TR I'm thinking of writing.....:confused3

Great update! I love to eat at Columbia Harbor House. I hope we can eat there on our next trip! I am so excited to add a new ticker to my signature.

I didn't know about the gargoyles either.

Visitation was fantastic! He was so much fun - you could tell that he really LOVES his job! One of my best memories from the trip! Luckily we have pictures to remember our shirts by... you know what happens after you wash them!

We love CHH - especially upstairs! We have eaten up there several times & it's always been pretty quiet. We ate downstairs once - before we knew better - and it was crowded.

It was fun to hear the gargoyles... I got to share the fun with the family in March. Of course the boys were in a rush to try to squeeze themselves out the door in front of people, but I made them hang back & listen. Fun!! I can't wait to get back & see the new queue! :thumbsup2

I would love to join your group! I have 4 boys... 2 "normal"... 1 with autism... and 1 with down syndrome! We love Disney World!!!!!!!!!

:welcome: 4 boys, wow!! How old are they? 2 keep me super busy

After a great lunch at CHH & a scary ride through the Haunted Mansion it was time for our Fastpasses at Big Thunder Mountain RR!

But first I want to add something about the Haunted Mansion that I forgot to say before... In order to avoid one of us riding alone, Anne Marie, Jessica & I squeezed into one doombuggy... I think I only had half a cheek on the seat... But that's not what I wanted to share... Anne Marie had some great Disney tid bits to share with me & Jess. She had taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour at some point on another trip & Haunted Mansion was one of the rides included in the tour. It was really fun learning some new secrets! I shared a couple of the secrets with the boys in March. :thumbsup2

Now moving on... As we made our way there (not on the slippery walkway) we snapped a few pictures of the closed Splash Mountain.

I can't find any pictures of this, maybe there's a video?? :confused3 But on the top of Julie's to-do list was to skip down the queue at Pirates! She & I had a fun time with that! :rolleyes1

We had a great time hanging out with Captain Jack! But then we ran into another Captain...

Up next: A gift from Heidi!

Visitation was fantastic! He was so much fun - you could tell that he really LOVES his job! One of my best memories from the trip!

Did any of you happen to email or mail WDW about how wonderful he was? They say the managers really do take those compliments into consideration for raises, promotions etc. He was such a great guy it would be great for him to get praise from his managers for the magical job he does.

You're absolutely right! I don't think any of us have, but we definitely should! Thanks for the reminder Tracy!
