Would like to watch Spectromagic and then head back to the GF to watch Wishes. Is there enough time to leave the park after the parade and get back to the hotel to see the fireworks? Or should we just stay at the park and fight the crowd leaving after the fireworks?

Personally, I don't think there is enough time. We were watching Spectromagic in front of Pecos Bill's and decided to leave afterward. We only made it to Crystal Palace before Wishes began.

i with sleepy I think this might be close. Maybe if you watch the parade near the front of the park, leave once it passes you, are able to catch a boat and/or monorail when you exit you might have a good chance of being back at GF when they start

Can you walk to GF from the MK front gate like you can to the Contemporary?

Nope.
There's a waterway between them.
Its the canal where they dock the "Electrical Water Pageant" floats.

The most-direct way back to GF from MK are the small watercraft that circulate:

MK > GF > Poly > MK > loop.

It is possible! Heh, we have done it. We stay at the GF when we go to Disney and our room (we stay in the same room each year) has the perfect view of Wishes, even though we can't hear the music. We have watched the parade and caught the monorail quick enough to get back to the GF. Taking the ferry is obviously a big no no as time doesn't allow for it lol. It is easier to stay near the opening of the park and when you know it is about to end (don't wait for it to officially end) pick yourself up and make a mad dash to the monorail heh. If you have kids, leave them to fend for themselves! :rotfl2: jk. If you catch the monorail at the perfect time, you will get back to the GF just in time to watch Wishes. :3dglasses .

No, not the big TTC ferry boats.

You stay at GF and don't know about the little boats that go directly THERE from MK?
If you catch one as its about to pull out (which is not hard), it beats the monorail (with its 3 full stops BEFORE it finally gets to GF) by a "mile".
Plus, it lets you off right where you can view Wishes.

Those are the boats I am referring to lol. ;) . We usually just miss the boats headed to the GF and so we have to wait there at the dock area. But yeah, oh gosh, the TTC is even LONGER!! Monorail seems to work best in this case and we have worked it both ways (boats included) even with the monorails full three stops. :goodvibes But that is just us lol (I think we are cursed when it comes to getting to the boats in time haha)
