My family is going to MK tomorrow for Spectromagic and Wishes. We have 4 kids, all under 5. I don't think the kids can handle more than a 30min wait and I have to take into account how long it will take to get out of the park after Wishes too. Given this, can you all suggest a good spot in which to view the parade and fireworks? Is there any spot with decent viewing left at 7:30ish? How slow moving is the crowd to exit? Thanks!!

We had really good luck getting right up front viewing for Spectro right before it started from back in Frontierland. It does take a while for the parade to get back there but I really like the viewing since you don't have to line up for an hour in advance and the parade feels really close to you back there. After Spectro, we headed to the front of the castle via the walkway thru Liberty Square. It was crowded but we followed with the crowd until we were in front of the castle kinda to the left. The view was great and we had prob. a 10 min. wait until Wishes began. Having done the long parade stake-outs many times in the past and with the kids now older this plan worked out surprisingly well. :thumbsup2 As for leaving after...that's the nightmarish part. We always shop for a while and then leave because the crowd going up Main Street is downright scary! If you really want to avoid that you need to be close to the exit to watch these shows but those spots involve some staking out of spots and waiting. Good Luck and Have fun! Spectro is my favorite!!

It is tough. Sometimes there are good places near City Hall; you can find benches there if you are lucky. The steps give you a little higher view of the street.

Frontierland can be much less crowded, but is not exactly a quick "escape route" afterwards.

The top of the train station is prime viewing, IMHO, but usually quite crowded and you need to get there early. Great if you can do it and keep the kids entertained during the wait. Works well for a quick exit too.

i totally agree with every thing said here. i have 3 kids and always used to be quite anal about having to find our spot ages before and making sure that we always gotr just the right place to stand, then one day i realised just how much we were missing and started to chill a bit.frontier land is great...just near the liberty tree tavern and then a short walk through to the front of the castle. i took some video from the tavern so if you want to take a look to check out the view heres the link...its a bit wobbley im afraid as it was took with a stills camras video function http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kajRYmEKkN4

enjoy what ever you do

Yeah ITA! Honestly, everyone enjoyed both shows so much more since they weren't aggravated first by a long wait. It was hard for me, the obsessive planner, to relax and wing it like this but we all got to ride SM and BTMR instead of sitting on a curb somewhere for an hour. Made for a much happier family!

we usually watch spectro right outside the main street bakery (im not sure of the offical name)... you have to wait probably about an hourbut its worth it... after it ends we head right up towards the castle and stop at the end of main street (where they put the ropes for the walkway) if this is done with the right timing you should be perfect

This is great!!!! I think we'll try viewing spectro around Frontierland/Liberty Tree then move towards the castle for Wishes. After that, look around the shops for 20min or so to let crowds thin. I hope this plan works!! And I hate that tomorrow is our last day :(

Good Luck!:thumbsup2 I hope it works as well for you as it did for us. The last day is so hard isn't it. It doesn't matter how many times we've been or how long our vacation is, I just never want to go home. It's always sad.:sad1:

Enjoy every minute of tomorrow though! Sounds like a magical way to end your stay!:wizard:
