My family is traveling to wdw with another family May 12-16. My family has already seen Spectro and MK fireworks. The other family has not.

We read that the MK hours were extended on May 13 so that guests could see spectro and fireworks. We were planning to visit MGM that day and see Fantasmic, which we have never seen.

I suggested that we stick to our plan and avoid MK on the 13th because everyone else will be there to watch the parade etc. on that night. Does anyone else agree? Is it fair to suggest that to a family who has never seen spectro? What do you think?

the absolute, #1, most important, not to be forgotten, thing to remember when travelling with another family is this......You dont have to spend every minute together! Let them read up on both and decide what they want to do, while you keep your plans for Fantasmic. ITs not going to bode well for your trip, if they feel pressured to see something they arent as excited about, or you feel pressured to be somewhere you dont want to be.

I agree with the previous post...you can certainly split up and enjoy the different night shows. Besides, you don't want to miss Fantasmic! It truly lives up to the reputation...it's absolutely magnificent! My wife and I have seen it multiple times, and it's always great. One caveat, don't sit too far up front, or you're gonna get wet :p

Having seen both - I would choose Fantasmic over Spectromagic. Specto is cool, but Fantasmic is spectacular!

I would chose Fantasmic over Spectro because for one I'm guaranteed a seat and a view at Fantasmic. The crowds at Spectro can sometimes be prohibitive. However check the schedule again.....would it be possible to watch Fantasmic and then beat it over to the MK for Spectro on the same night?
