Spectromagic/Crowds

During times when Spectro is scheduled twice a week, is it safe to assume that the Saturday is always going to be the busier of the two days? I'm trying to fine tune my October itinerary and based on last October's hours, MK will be open until either 6pm or 7pm on non-Spectro nights, various later hours on weekday Spectro nights, and 10pm on Saturdays (some of which have one Spectro showing and some two - at 8pm and 10pm).

I'm not going to be a great deal of help - except the night we saw Spectro there was one at 8pm and one at 10pm -we saw it at 8pm, then the fireworks were at 9pm and we tried to leave after the fireworks which was horrendous - we couldn't get out of the park, we couldn't get a bus etc etc.

I spoke to Penny after the trip, and she was also in the park that same night - they rode rides during the 8pm parade and of course the rides were deserted since everyone was watching the parade, and then they saw the fireworks and watched the later parade (actually, I think it was 9pm & 11pm, but the same idea) and they said the 11pm parade was much quieter and they were able to leave the park without any trouble,

So - if there are 2 parades on, I would suggest watching the later one - the first one was like a madhouse

In January when they had Spectro on Fri and Sat I'd have said the Sat was a little bit busier, it only gets busy around 5pm when all the locals pile in.

Definately...if there are 2 parades and you have the stamina, ALWAYS go for the second one...easier to find a parade spot, easier to get out of the park afterwards...just plain easier!

We watched Spectromagic Midweek and people were sitting on the pavement an hour beforehand . I couldn't believe it but having stood for the duration after a busy day in the parks I think they had the best idea.

But Midweek it was 6/7 deep along the parade route.

This server really sucks... If something isn't fixed soon this is surely going to die a death.

Just to echo the 'watch the second show' advice.

When we've planned to watch the fireworks on a Saturday, we go to a different park for the rest of the day and don't get to MK until the evening as MK will be busy all day. Of course, it's people like us who then make it even busier in the evening!

Just a word of warning.
I planned our Feb visit round the advertised Spectromagic nights,
to find that when we got there they had been changed
Moral: keep checking before you go!
