Spectro Men - face change?

Hello!

I would like to confirm with people who have seen Spectro Magic in the second half of August if this information is true. I read on a site that the Spectro Men no longer wear masks? That they are wearing make up making them quite scary looking? Can anyone confirm this information?

I have seen that parade twice the week of august 18-25. What are "Spectro-Men" and then I can see if I have a pic of them.

they now have a painted face in white with dark shadows around the eyes and jaw line. The kind of look like skeletons to me. creepy.
Their hair is really cool. It changes color and has flashing highlights.

That is hilarious! Spectromagic equally attracts and repels me. It's such a strange mix of classic Disney with a bit of Vegas thrown in!

Oh my!I hate the new look! I used to love the masks.
micksterlee & Andyjo0930: The Spectro man are the characters starting the Spectro Magic parade. They are on the float playing the trumpet, on the main "Spectro Magic" float and on the Spectro "balls".

Can't say much about the mask vs. the face, couldn't see well enough to decide, but I do like the hair. (Oh well, I guess there's all kinds of folks on the DIS and today I just happen to be "that kind". )

I was just looking at pics of the masked Spectromen last night and wondering why Disney put something so weirdly creepy in the parade, and now this...

My niece is coming with me this year, and I arranged our schedule so she could see Spectro the one night it shows while she's there, but I'm going to rethink that -- I don't want her having nightmares -- it's bad enough I just watched those videos -- I think I may be scarred for life!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any creepier...here come the maskless SpectroMen. Wow. I thought I hated the first ones.

This is my favorite parade...as soon as the SpectroMen pass by. I will probably have to close my eyes for them now. How bizarre!

Looks like a Pierrot clown to me. Which seems fitting, because Pierrot is supposed to be naive and outside normal reality. Maybe I've seen "Halloween" too many times, but glowy white masks are far more scary than white face paint. And that's saying something, because clowns are creepy. I bet it's easier to see the crowd in the paint, though.

I think Disney needs to get rid of these THINGS!! They are too scary for the children and have no Disney feel about them.

I think that I need to see them in person before I fully make a decision. I love Spectro- masked men or not. What I love the most is the music I think, so I guess I don't pay that much attention to the white faced/masked men.
