We will be at WDW in less than two weeks. The only night other than our arrival day that Spectro is scheduled for is Wed. June 4th. Our current plan is to do Blizzard Beach that morning/early afternoon and go to MK just to see the parade/fireworks. Here is my dilemma:

I have a 5:50 pm PS at 'Ohana but I'm worried that won't be enough time to eat, travel, snag a parade spot since the park will most likely be packed due to the single Spectro show of the week.

As a backup plan, I made another PS for 4:50 pm at the Plaza Restaurant.

I'm thinking that the Plaza might be my better choice since it will have us IN the park soon enough to not worry about getting a good parade spot.

Please offer your suggestions/opinions!!

we were there for Spectro and the fireworks on the 13th of May and my advice to you would be arrive as early as possible and grab a seat.we will never go back to MK on a night that they have Spectro and the fireworks again.it was HORRIBLE.i swear people had to be lining up by 5:00 to see the parade. Please if you are going to go that night get there early.the people were so RUDE and inconsiderate, they would step all over you.

We wouldn't consider it either, but the kids have never seen the night parade. We missed it last summer, too, and they REALLY want to see it. We will probably try to find a spot in Frontierland to view the parade. DW and I had more luck finding spots there in 1999 while MSEP was running.

Were were in the MK for spectro/FIS on May 10th and May 13th. On the 10th, we got there at 7, and there were people on Main street already lining up. We decided to watch it from frontierland, and had a seat right up front that we didn't get to until 8:30. On the 13th, there were definitely more people in the park and we decided to skip it since we saw it before and just do the rides. Tomorrowland and fantasyland were empty because everyone must have been at the parade. My suggestion is if you don't want to line up too early, to try and watch it from frontierland and not on main street.

Have you considered doing a big lunch and then just getting something light in the park and have like a little picnic while you wait for the parade...one person could sit and hold a spot while another takes the kids and walk around, shop etc.

I suggest add as little stress to the day/evening or you won't enjoy what you are there to see.

After the parade and your still in fronteirland, make your way over to fantasyland by the 20,000 leagues lagoon. While some seem to pour into the mainstreet area, we like to head to the back of the park where it seems to be less crowded and watch FITS. Take your time getting out of there, enjoy the park and stores you might rush by. We always try to use the crowds to our favor and make the best of bad crowds.
