Specs on what has recently passed ROFR please?

The add-on siren is calling me.

I am trying to figure out the best way to set up an offer or find a particular package which has a better chance of not being picked up by Disney. Some have mentioned that Disney will be more inclined to pass on those which have banked points on which the buyer is going to pay maintenance and on contracts where buyer pays closing (I guess they don't want to have to come up with cash up front themselves?!)

Can those who have purchased a resale recently please relay the cost per point, resort and other specifications regarding contract had banked points, was stripped, and so forth to better help me understand what is most likely to help in getting a resale past Disney's ROFR.

I'm assuming that you're more interested in on site properties. We just bought a VB contract resale, $64 per point, all '04 points available and 60something banked points. It was a March use year, just like the contract and add on that we bought from Disney. We paid closing costs and current dues.

BWV, February use year, 102 banked points from 2003, all 350 available for 2004. $72/point. We paid 2004 maintenance fees and closing costs.

Currently in the process of purchasing at OKW. December use year, 310 points. All 2003 points are being banked; all 2004 points are available. $71/point. We are paying 2004 maintenance fees and closing costs. It will probably be a few weeks until we know whether we pass ROFR but I think this is a fair price for OKW.

We just closed April 15th on BWV March contract 300 points for $65 per point.

All 2004 points available. We paid closing, 2004 maint. and the $100 transfer fee.

We bought 150 BWV June use year, $74/point, 25 banked from 2003, all 150 coming on June 1st. We are paying closing and all 2004 maint. fees. We are currently waiting to close.

We just passed ROFR and received the closing docs today. We purchased resale 150 points, use year March. This contract had all 2003 points available as well as the 2004. We will pay the maintence for 2004 plus about 400 closing

OKW $70 per point - but now I think I could have purchased for 1 - 3 dollars less per point.

We closed on 4/15 for 150 points at OKW for 70 per point all 150 points for 04 included. We paid the closing costs & maintenace fees. Feburary use year which is what we have with our present contract. We started the deal on the 2nd of March, from start to receiving the closing letter was 58 days.

BWV, June use year, 175 points at $72/point. 224 banked points and all 175 coming in June. we paid closing costs and maintenance on the 175 that are coming. ROFR took 10 days and we sent the closing docs back on monday. We should be in the DVC system by next week.

I'm trying to figure out how you could have 224 points banked on a 175 point contract?

Unless some points were transfered in???

It's not that I don't believe you ,just wondering how it can happen.

Hi,

Our closing document stated 49 points banked from 02 and 175 banked from 03. All 224 expire on May 31. They are almost useless given the member homecoming and no ability to take time off right now. It would have been good to get a freebie week though!

If you can't use them, when you get the points in your name,I would make a few ressies and post on the rent trade board and see if you can sell them for a few bucks anyway. Or see if friends or fellow workers could use the ressie and give them a cheap vacation. I would do anything I could to NOT give the points back to DVC.

What about giving them to charity? Wasn't there a thread awhile back where you gave your points or ressies to charity for families with sick children. I'm not sure which charity, maybe make-a-wish?

BWV, 160 point contract, all points intact from 2003, $70 per point. We paid closing and maintenance fees on 2004 use year only!(August use year) Closed on April 8, 2004.

BWV 150 pts - October $74pp. All 2003 pts and 2004 pts available for a total of 300pts. We pay closing and 2004 maint. Waiting on ROFR to come back.

We just closed this week on a contract for OKW. 330 points, Dec. UY. 300 points banked from 2003. $70 per point. We paid closing and maintenance on 2004 points. From time of receiving papers to time of closing was approx. 3 weeks. (some of the longest waiting in my life!!!!).

My sister and BIL just passed ROFR also. Their contract is also at OKW. Something like 275 points with alot of banked points from 2003. They also are paying maint. on 2004 points and closing costs. They got it for $68 per point. Their time to hear about ROFR was between 3-4 weeks.

I sent my closing docs in last wednesday. When do you think I will be in the system? I don't remember seeing any date on them of when we should close
