We closed on 4/15 for 150 points at OKW for 70 per point all 150 points for 04 included. We paid the closing costs & maintenace fees. Feburary use year which is what we have with our present contract. We started the deal on the 2nd of March, from start to receiving the closing letter was 58 days.
OKW91, that's almost 2 full months! Was Disney's ROFR the delaying factor or were there other factors (the broker, seller, etc). I'd be interested to know!

Hi,
Our closing document stated 49 points banked from 02 and 175 banked from 03. All 224 expire on May 31. They are almost useless given the member homecoming and no ability to take time off right now. It would have been good to get a freebie week though!
Seems to me the 2003 points being banked is a good thing; I cannot imagine that if they were banked that they would expire in 2004. Check with MS, bcs I suspect that it's only the 49 points banked from 2002 that would be expiring this year, which would give you 350 pts to use during your 2004 use year.

Another option for those expiring points is to deposit them with MS for a trade into non DVC Disney hotels or maybe the Concierge Collection, provided this is allowed in the last 60 days of your use-year. Check the member guidebook on line.

edited to add:
OK, so it looks like my second idea is not possible under DVC rules. But, I was on the phone with MS in the interim, and for 5/2-5/7 they have a 1BR at OKW available for points reservations (100 pts). You might make the ressie and see if someone bites on the rent/trade board.

Just an idea.
