Specifying using dining credits to CMs

Do you always have to specify whether or not you want to use your dining plan credits when the CM scans your band or will it automatically just deduct the appropriate credits when scanned? There will also be a couple of times when I will opt to pay with a gift card instead of dining plan, but when is the appropriate time to tell them that? Before the meal or when it's time to pay?

You'll have to specify if you are using dining plan credits vs charging to the room. In our experience the server generally asks if you are on a dining plan within the first few minutes. If you are using a gift card, just say no.

Dining plan checks are rung up differently from other checks, so it is best to tell how you will be paying before you order. Most servers will ask immediately if you are on a dining plan. That is a good time to explain whether you will be using the dining plan to pay, or not.

You do not have to indicate method of paying, i.e. Cash gift card credit card
