anyone know if Ft Wilderness is not elegible for the "specials" offered? I called one time and they said we were not eligible for the special-- like park hopper free, and the second time, she said there was no availablility...but to call back..
Anyone know the real deal?
They offer a deal when i will be there in Late Jan-- free park hopper and water park and more option...
It would save me a few hundred if i was able to get it! Thanks!

Most of the special offers have gone away due to to high attendance year around. There are still some discounts such as AAA. I have never heard of Free Tickets at FW and thats going for many years. You may be able to get a package at one of the Value hotel for almost the same cost of FW, I am talking about per night at FW as compared to Value, a pretty close cost if you get a Preferred site.

Because Ft. Wilderness allows 10 guests per site, they have never participated in the package promotions.

Can you imagine if they allowed free dining?? 10 locals would get together and get a campsite just for the free dining.

Same thing with the ticket upgrades.

I'm personally glad they don't allow them for the campsites because the Fort is hard enough to book as it is.

I still ask if I can get a FL Resident or annual passholder but I've given up just about on specials at the fort. Like Carol said, it's hard enough to book a site as it is. I did get the passholder rate last week which was around $40. I think it took off $10 a night which was great. Good luck finding something affordable. Maybe Rhonda can help with this.

$ off the campsite through various discounts such as AAA, Passholder, Florida Residents, etc. are still available in small quantities, just not package discounts where the value of the "freebie" could be exceedingly high due to allowing 10 folks per site.

Just out of curiosity, I figured out that if they did allow Free Dining, 10 local adults could get together and get 14 nights worth of free dining for only $91.35 each (plus the cost of a one-day ticket).
