Special treatment at Beach Club

We (Myself, DH , DS15, DD11) are just back from a split stay at OKW and Beach Culb. We were booked at AKL but were switched to the BC because of the construction. Our treatment at BC was so fantastic that we were wondering if this was normal or was it because we were moved?
We got an excellent room near the elevators with a full balcony. When we got into the room a fruit basket was there with a note from the general manager welcoming us (is this usual), we got turndown service each night, a special chocolate picture one night and an autographed charater picture another night.
It was great. We also loved the pool
Like I said I don't know if this was normal treatment or not but it was very impressive. My DD asked if we could go back to this resort.

I think the extras were due to the move .

But we stayed at the BCV for the first time and had just a lovely stay. The SAB is always that way ( GREAT).

I have stayed at Beach Club and few times and only once I have turn down
service. We returned from the BCV last week and did receive a fruit basket
after we complained there was glass on our balcony due to window above
our room having a window fixed the previous day.

I've always stayed concierge at BC but each of the things you mentioned were always a part of my stay. I love it at both BC and YC!!

This is not standard procedure for each and every guest.

So one of two things could have happened, it could be due to the move or it could be random selection due to the Dreams promotion.

Glad you had a great time and had a sprinkle of Disney magic.

Thanks for the replies, we were not concierge, so I didn't think this was the standard. It was real nice tho. Maybe we'll get bumped another time.

I've stayed club level w/a balcony several times and received turn-down service, but never a gift basket or pictures. I think those were to make up for the move.

Any guest staying at the BC/YC can request turn down service. It is standard if you are staying concierge but has to be requested for all others. The fruit basket and other things were either part of the Dreams promotion or becasue of the move. They do not do this often ... so you were definitely being pampered. Glad you had a great stay!
