Special touches to make your wedding/honeymoon a DISNEY wedding/honeymoon???

I heard some people mentioning getting buttons and things like that and my wedding planner has not made mention of anything like that to me.:confused3
I am going to be getting hitched there and spending what my family feels is a small fortune(we are paying for it all! and if there are perks I'd like to know.
Why don't they tell you????
Although I did think it was sweet of them to give us annual passes!
I missed out on the planning session and did over the phone and regret not seeing Franks and testing our food, but whatever. I just feel like I'm spending a lot and not "REALLY" knowing if it's worth it.:headache:
Please help me and tell me if I'm getting a raw deal by having my disney planners not telling/knowing about the perks...? :rotfl2:
This is my first and last marriage so I'd like to make the best of it and I already had a dress fiasco with Davids Bridal b/c my coordinator did not know her product line.:sad2: I'd like a little special treatment for what we're paying you know? :wizard:
WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME is my bottom line?

Any help is greatly appreciated.:worship:

Thanks-
Angie

The reason why your planner doesn't tell you the "perks" is because they are not guaranteed. Not only that, but they have no control over some of the perks you read about. They are there to plan your wedding, and not to tell you what you should do, or expect, on your honeymoon. Also, a lot of the perks you here about (fastpasses, room upgrades, free desserts, etc.) are up to the CM at the respective locations. Some couples have gotten tons of free stuff, while others get a simple congratulations.

Our wedding planner had the Just Married pins decorate the sweetheart table. I guess she didn't want to tell us about them in order to surprise us.

If you don't get the "Just Married" buttons at your wedding, they are available at any Guest Relations site at the Parks. Have a wonderful day1:thumbsup2

I'm dragging this thread out to update my wedding favors. I went with www.customglassware.com because 1) it was cheaper than discountmugs.com by more than $30, 2) it had better graphics, and 3) they do NOT put their logo on the bottom! They arrived yesterday (3 days ahead of schedule) and I'm so happy with them that I had to share.

I personally chose pint glasses because 1/3 of my guests are Mormon and do not drink alcohol. These glasses are all purpose, and I don't think anyone will be offended by these.

From start to finish:
5/22 Placed order at night
5/23 Received proof in my email in the morning with 3 graphic options
5/23 Sent proof approval in the afternoon
Order status then listed as "In Production"
6/3 Received 90 pint glasses in 2 LARGE boxes, 3 days ahead of their timetable.

They claim that from proof approval to delivery, it will be 10 business days. It arrived in 7. I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to my family and friends.

I had the grandest idea of buying matching Bride and Groom shirts that incorporated Disney. Can you believe that I couldn't find them anywhere? So I hightailed it over to the Creative DISign board and found some of rumblytumbly's designs to help me create some shirts on Zazzle.com. I haven't ordered anything yet, but thought I'd share.

*UPDATE* I thought I'd go the easy route and order from Zazzle. But they canceled my order due to copyright infringement. I thought that since I wasn't posting it for sale (which you can do on that website and receive royalties) I would fine. I know they have a whole bunch of their own Disney clipart you can use, which I assume they have permission for. But I suppose they can still be done iron-on.

Ivette1980 - photo pass is a card that holds pictures the photographers you see around the parks taking "professional" pictures at picture perfect areas. Once you get a card at the first time everytime you having a picture taken by one of these photographers hand them your card and they all get saved on it.

When you go home from your trip you go onto www.disneyphotopass.com and you can view all the pictures and order them if you want.

It's a great for those times when you want everyone in your group in the picture. The prices are a little expensive but sometimes it's worth it. I usually get one for every trip I have taken.

Aymekae - on a different thread there is also other designs for t-shirts that are fantastic. (camara381 - I hope you don't mind me sharing)

Here is the link for the other thread with more designs

Thanks! I tried searching for a thread like that, but must have missed it. I was thinking of making 2 sets of shirts, and this will help a lot.

Have the diver at Coral Reef hold up a sign that says "just married" or something! It is free!

Definitely go to the Poly to watch the fireworks!!!! My DF (is that the abbreviation for fiance?) and I went one of our last nights our past trip in April and it was one of my favorite memories of the whole trip. Well, other than when he proposed at the wishing well ha! We got Mickey ice creams inside and then found a hammock on the beach and sat back to watch the fireworks. It was so nice to have some peace and quiet and the view was perfect! They even play the Wishes background music over the speakers. I enjoyed it so much more than at the MK.
Since we got engaged at the Wishing Well at MK, I would recommend stopping by there :) It's usually pretty quiet and has a nice bench to sit and relax for a few minutes.
I've heard there is a carriage ride at Ft. Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge too which could be very romantic. Make sure you go before it's too dark though, otherwise you don't get to see much. My future inlaws made that mistake at their December trip!
As for the Photopass, my DF made sure to preorder the Photopass so we'd have plenty of pictures of the two of us and it worked out well. I believe it's $25 less to preorder the CD which can have an unlimited number of pictures. When you come home you can edit your pictures and add borders. I will note that there are more options for editing your photos at the parks then at home so if you're really set on a certain setting, you're better off just taking the time at the park. In the park they had a border that said "We're Engaged" and when we got home it wasn't available on any photos except for one we took in front of the Haunted Mansion (seriously, how weird was that!). We emailed Disney and within a couple of days they had added it as an option for every photo. When we had made our changes online, the CD arrived very quickly. I wouldn't do the photopass for most trips but for a special occassion like an engagement or honeymoon it's a very nice thing to have.
Hope that helps!

How do you go about getting the Disney Photopass card. Will you be given one once you take a picture?

Yes the first time you take a picture with one of the photographers they give you the card and you use that one for any other time you take pictures with one of them.

At the first Photopass person you see in the parks you can have them take your picture and they will give you a little card (like the size of a credit card). The card has a bar code type scan on it so each time a Photopass person takes your picture, they scan the card and it magically appears online! It's a good idea to take a picture with your own digital camera of the photopass card because when you come home, all you really need is the number on the back so if you lose the actual card, you can just look at your own picture to get the number and still see your pictures. You can have multiple cards on the same account so if you forget your photopass card in your room one day, you can just get a new one the first time you have your picture taken. Then when you get home, you go to the website and make an account and just add all of your card numbers and it joins them all under the same account.

Idk if anyone else said it, but coral reef will make your free personalized menus and have their diver come down with a sign!!! i'm very excited about this!!

also, narcosses(sp lol??) is on the ddp.. idk if anyone else mentioned that.

great idea for a thread btw!! i think even for people not wedding or mooning this is helpful!!

Coral Reef does do the personalized menus and the diver for FREE!! Narcoossee's also does a personalized menu for FREE. One thing that I'm planning on doing for our anniversary trip this year is the personalized menus at Coral Reef and Narcoossee's and I'm also going to get a personalized cake at Narcoossee's. Since we got married while I was still in school, we didn't get to have the Disney wedding we both wanted, so for our anniversary this year, I am going to get a smaller version of the Disney wedding cake we wanted. Also you can get a photographer (Disney or other) to do photos of you around the resorts. Another surprise I'm planning for DH is to have "anniversary" pictures with Randy Chapman. The photos of our wedding were a HUGE let down (again we were really poor and couldn't afford a photographer so we got a friend to do it. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever doing that) so I am getting a photo session with Randy for the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. Disney also has resort photo sessions that you can also add to your photopass.

Curious if in the past few months anyone has anything to add? I'm loving the idea of making a couple just married or bridal shirts; wearing the buttons, getting the coral reef in on menus, and using the mickey flip flop idea i saw to sunbathe (and possibly as a gift to my bridal party for after dinner at the reception to dance in).

Any one else with ways to add Disney to their wedding in special romantic moments or adding special romantic moments to your Disneymoon? :lovestruc

You can have disneyflorist.com deliver an "Ears to the Bride and Groom" gift basket to your room. It has the Bride/Groom wedding ears in it, a bottle of Champaigne, flutes, and I think some chocolate in it.

Where do you register for the honeymoon?

you can go to disneyweddings.com and then it's when you click on honeymoons, it's an option towards the bottom to register. i was just going to do that but it says in step 1. to book the honeymoon package at a resort. we cant afford the actual honeymoon suite so i guess the registry is out.
