I am looking at doing little special surprises throughout our trip for my kids (7,7,and 3). Any great ideas?

How about a disney-themed cookie bouquet delivered to your hotel room? I've done it for our last few trips - my daughters and husband all love them. You can even personalize one of the cookies. I got mine at www.cookiesbydesign.com.

It's always a big hit for us.

I have 3 kids also and we are going to be in Wdw in Sep 09 and here is a little of what i am doing

Mine are all girls but you can chagne things around a bit

I am doing a surprise in the room... I looked in the disney florist and they are really expensive but you can get balloons delivered from then for 45.00 and it comes with chochlates and thats what i am doing i am also taking a package packed ina box that the kids will just think its vacation stuff and in its a surprise for each girl proclaiminh her a princess .. when we are going out for a day (I have a day that we are going to DTD and thats when i will say i forgot something in the room be right back and then put it out when they are waiting for the bus ... If yo ugo to the disney florist website just look around and think out of the box and you will come up with something

Ask a CM if you can ride in the front of the monorail with the driver. Only 4 people allowed at a time. They'll have a blast!

I've seen several people on the site do Tinkerbell Treasures each night while the kids are asleep. Each night after the kids were asleep, they'd put out little trinkets or things for the next day such as an autograph book or a candy bar.

Although things from the Disney florist tend to be on the expensive side, they do have some rather reasonable items as well. They have a few welcome to Disney goodie packs that contain snacks, autograph books or Mickey ears.

You could also order a cake to be delivered to your room or to your table at a restaurant. That would be a great deal of fun for the little ones! There's a thread in the restaurants board about how to order one.

Be sure to embarrass the 19 yr. old by telling everybody it's his first visit at every opportunity! :smooth:

Smuggle a tiny bottle of glitter into the hotel room and leave *evidence* that :tink: Tinkerbell has been there, on a window sill, under a pillow, on the sink, you get the picture. ;)

Glow bracelets, necklaces, etc. Kids love them and if you buy them ahead of time at the Dollar store or Target, you can save a bundle. :)

Arrive before opening time at the MK and watch the 5 minute Welcome Celebration that they do before they open the gates. Get situated front & center in front of the Mickey Flower Bed.
It's old fashioned, adorable and really sets the mood. pixiedust:

I take it the 19 year old is not your son?

For your daughter the free pixie dust at the Tinkerbelle shop is a nice little thing. For your sons and daughter you could do lots of characters, they are fun to do.

Be sure not to make the 19 year old feel like a third wheel. Do something special just for him at some point.

The 19 year old is a close family friend. He is AMAZING with our kids and when we decided to plan this trip they literally begged for us to invite him. :) I'm really trying to get all my ideas together so I can be sure to have a little something special and unique for everyone. The ideas everyone has given are great!! I didn't even know some of these delivery places existed. And I didn't know about the free pixie dust either! The other times we have gone, my daughter wasn't really interested in Tink or the princesses...but she DEFINATLEY is this time!:thumbsup2

I ordered my kids a goodie basket from http://www.memoriesbybetsy.com to be delivered to our room shortly after we arrive. She is wonderful to work with. :goodvibes

The fairies are an hour+ wait no matter what. Princesses were a walk up when we were there on Wednesday. Ummm, the Crystal Palace was AMAZING!!! You must do that, everyone will love it!

THis web site is great! About how much do they charge for shipping? Do you give the address of the hotel room?

We did gifts from Tinkerbell and the princesses several times throughout our stay! It was so fun to plan and execute them!!

On the first night, Tinkerbell left a brand new toothbrush for each of the kids with a tiny note that said "make sure to brush!"

We had things delivered from the gift shops at the parks to our room throughout the trip.

I still have a note from my oldest dd that she wrote to Tinkerbell thanking her for the presents. It was so heartfelt - I can't wait to show it to her when she is a little older.

I have even MORE stuff planned this time. I have glitter. I have glitter spray for their hair (imagine their surprise when they wake up with glitter in their hair!) I have gifts, crafts, clothes, the whole nine yards.

I'm planning a surprise for the kids where I will get up very early one morning to make tiny decorated cookies and itty bitty cupcakes to be left by the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty (we are staying at a rented house this time.)

I have plans to leave brand new Cars stuff all around the house for my ds, who is a fanatic, as his gifts from Tinkerbell.

I'm so excited!
