Special section for AP holders on the new WDW website

what are the discounts for restaurants, shops, someone mentioned a special at akl? we are staying there, is better than the normal ap rate? I'd love to know what's on this site! thanks

you know I wonder if they will somehow change the way to get onto the site since it is not real fair to people who have shelled out the bucks for the pass but can not benefit since you can not validate it till you get there. I mean it is not real easy for me to jog 1000+ miles to get the actual pass so I can access ......just a thought for whoever may be *listening*.......we do not all live just a few miles away!!

I can't believe they finally acknowledged pass holders.....YEAH!!! I hope they keep posting us informed, especially of room discounts...

I tried a number of times and get it to work. I put in the three letters three numbers date activated and three numbers . We activated it in April 2003.

The passholder resort discounts have always been posted on that site the day the offers are released, but in the past only Florida resident passholders had access to it. Now with the new site they have opened it up to all passholders. This will be excellent for finding out when AP resort rates are available for those out-of-state.

. It is showing offers for Vero Beach and Hilton Head too.

since I am 'shunned" from the site due to only having vouchers could anyone tell me if the Vero rates go past Feb 4....I got a cm last night that said there are no special rates at all for Vero for Feb later than the 4th...I can get a group rate but that is a whole 'nother reservation system so I would have to get ressies with both. she said she didn't know for sure but doubted there would be AP rates for Vero after Feb 4th since that starts the prime season there ( and I don't think historically there were any by checking other sites) BUT given the track record for what some Cms say and the actual facts, could some one please tell me if that is what the site says. by the time we go in Jan and my pass is activated and *site worthy* I'm afraid it will be too late to get an AP rate for feb if they do exist

when I went to the disney site a survey came up about the new site and I mentioned not being able to access with a voucher as a problem so I am *sure* it will be change momentarily(lol)!
Thanks

jan1033.....the CM is correct....the Vero Beach discounts only go up to Feb. 4th.:(
I am also hoping for something after that....

I sent you a PM.:wave2:

After all, a voucher is not an annual pass. IOW, the clock hasn't started ticking for you yet. :D

yeah. I understand that but imo the point is you PLAN before you get there ( eg AP rates, how many times do you think you can walk into AKL and get an AP rate for that night? ) and can't get the info you need to do that..those of us who live far away have no way to get an activated pass till we get there, that is not our *choice*, we *can't* get one and so basically can not use the site, or the benefits, till we get back from our vacation so ,unless we go back again in that same year, tough for us.
someone said they used to only make that site available to Florida AP holders which makes even less sense since they probably will have the opportunity to return a lot more than someone driving or flying 1000+ miles and may only go for a few days at a time rather than a week or two. if they can't use an AP rate for 2 days, that is a lot less than not being able to get it for 7-14...once again those rates are listed as a''benefit" of an AP by Disney. the rates and admission are only going to be good for a year no matter how long you can access the site for. if you buy your voucher a long time ahead you still get 365 days of use in the parks ect and still don't know the rates ect till disney releases them. it's not like you are getting something extra, you are just getting the same thing anyone else who paid the same price for an activated AP gets
