Special seating for Grand Gatherings?

Hi-

I thought I had heard that WDW has special Grand Gatherings seating for viewing the fireworks at MK and Illuminations. Not in conjunction with a cruise or a dinner, but just preferred seating set aside for large groups.

Did I get this wrong? Does anybody know about this?

The only special seating I know of is in conjunction with the cruise for Wishes and the dinner for Illuminations. We were did Grand Gatherings in December. I was on the phone countless hours with the planners. Not a single person mentioned it. Asked many times for anything else available with the program. The special seating you hear about in the ads is the seating with the cruise and dinner.

That said, the cruise is worth every penny, and I've heard the same for the Epcot and AK dinners. Still haven't seen a review of the MK breakfast, though.
