This July my 4 siblings and I will be visiting disney for the first time together since we were kids. We are now all in our 20's and 30's. Our last night together will be my youngest sister's birthday. She is turning 23. Any suggestions for some place to celebrate her birthday? some of us have already eaten at Cinderella's castle, brown derby, house of blues, rainforest cafe on a recent trip and would like to try something new. I would also like to be able to eat at a place where the disney bakers can make her a special cake.

Congrats on your upcoming family trip, i guess alot depends on whether you want adult or fun in the restaurant or both, also budget, for mine we are going to spoodles then across the lake to join an illuminations cruise, another night doing boma. I think you can preorder the cake for most places but you'd have to check, on allears i think there is a birthday section.

I'd go with Chef Mickey's. Definitely a place for celebration, it is really festive and the atmosphere cannot be beat.

DD9 loved getting a birthday cupcake and a very special placemat. Adults all over the restaurants were also celebrating their b-days, it was reaaly alot of fun.

The other one that you guys may enjoy is Whispering Canyon Café. I hear that the waiters are a hoot and that alot of silly stuff happens during dinner.....

Wispering Canyon. You gotta take her there at some point for the day. The CM's will do there best to cause a ruckus and probably embarrass the heck out of her.

For something nice, I'd reccommend Narccoosses. I dont know about special cakes, but they have the hands down best dessert on property...Almond Crusted Cheesecake. OMG

my only thought is that buffets can sometimes be loud, crowded and not as intimate for a celebration...that said, they are usually good
my suggestion would be to consider a restaurant in epcot (perhaps chefs de france or le cellier or even germany with the octoberfest) and cap off the evening with illuminations

have a great time!

A few years ago I went on a "girls only" trip. My best friend (who was single at the time) celebrated her 23rd birthday during the trip so we brought her to 1900 Park Fair for her dinner. She was "crowned" by Prince Charming and given a cupcake. We have a ton of great pictures!

I would say California Grill ontop of the Contemporary, it's a bit upscale and a great place to go for a group of adults, not to mention a stunning view of the Magic Kingdom (try to request window seats if you go there). A more fun option would be the Hoop Dee Doo Review at Fort Wilderness. We took my brother there for his birthday and the people from the show came to our table to sing him Happy Birthday! Then they brought my father on stage with them! It was a wonderful Disney memory of mine. Hope this was helpful and enjoy the Disney birthday! :cake:
