Special parking for AAA members

If you drive to the parks and you are an AAA member, ask AAA about their special diamond lot parking pass. We got ours when we bought our park hopper tix. With this pass, you can go to a portion of the parking lot that is very close to the entrance, so you don't need to take the parking tram (the lot is right by the kennel at Epcot and MK). It's subject to lot availability, but we had no problems whatsoever using it from 11/3-11/6--plenty of room, and at all different times of the day. It's definitely worth it for Epcot. MK is a bit of a tossup, because you need to actually still walk pretty far. Depends on whether you have very young kids who will object to the walking.

How to you get this pass if you already have tickets. Can I call AAA

I asked about this the last time we went to WDW - you MUST purchase your Disney passes at AAA, and you have to get teh parking pass there AT THE SAME TIME (they told me they could only give it to me when I purchased the passes at AAA).

So if you already have tickets, you're out of luck.

Please tell me which AAA Office you were able to get the special AAA Diamond Parking Pass from (via email if you prefer). I went to my local AAA Office and they said the passes were only available to people who bought a Disney Travel package through AAA and that the passes are actually sent by Disney Travel

This AAA parking lot isn't as great as it sounds....
1.there are NO trams to take you to the front of the park
2.the walk from this AAA parking lot is about a 10 minutes!!
3.the AAA parking is on the far side of the handicap parking
4.The AAA parking is Avaliable ONLY at MK and AK

5. If you are trying to get closer because of a disability,the better way is to go to the regular parking lot and tell the Parking Attendant at the end of the row if you can park close to the end near the Tram. They are really good about letting you park close to the tram if you find walking hard to do.

ps. On a side note, Kmart has these really lite colman camp stools[$6.00].I took one to WDW and used it to sit on any time I had to stand,it saved my Knees for walking!![no one at WDW had a problem with it.]

Mojomanny - unfortunately, I"ve never been able to get the Parking Pass. I've inquired a couple of times, and I've always already had my own tickets.

I was told that you could purchase tickets and get the parking pass when I asked at the Worcester AAA office, however, this could be a mistake (like getting 3 different answers from three different CMs for Disney questions).

You could try calling some of the other local AAA offices, and see if you get a different story.
