I have a 9 year old daughter. For the most part I was going to do normal Minnie shirts and other Disney type clothes, but was there an outfit that you bought special that you were so proud of? I have been looking on Etsy and found some really cute stuff. I just wanted some ideas....

I sew, so I copied these two dresses for DD. (I have an embroidery machine)

and I made tumblers like the top left one with my Silhouette machine.

I think 9 is getting to be too old for the cutesy clothes like those. DD is 8.5 and our cruise in May will probably the last use of all of our princess dresses.

hahaha, you will look adorable. I actually wasn't thinking exactly full princess, although I did find someone who made an incredible maid type Cinderella costume that I thought would look amazing to take pictures with the princesses. I think parents can get some pretty awesome outfits for Disney. She is older but I think can still look super cute on the cruise.

Something like this would be super cute for a tween girl!

My 9yo DD was open to themed and matching t-shirts, and cruise/sailing themed items. She was not interested in the really cute things, but it depends on what each kid is willing to wear. good luck!

Super cute, MunFam! Those dresses are awesome. I wish I could sew. For the record my 13 year old will wear "cutesy" things on the cruise and at Disney.

Thank you everyone. Yeah I really wish I would have made more out of Home Economics than I did! My daughter will also wear "cutesy" stuff but we also can differ on things because I found out that I don't have the same "style" as she does. :) don't get me started! I love that dress that stacaka4321 put up, so I will look for something like that.

Really depends on the child. My daughter will be 10 on the cruise and is getting lots of things I sewed plus some ready bought. She'll be over the moon.

My teens get their Disney dresses at Hot Topic. They are edgy, but still Disney.

Mine likes cute and themed, she just doesn't wouldn't look right in those pillow case dresses. I wish I could sew better, I can only manage skirts though. She will be bringing her super hero themed one.
