Can anyone tell me what to expect. My DS7 has his first track practice Sun.

You will find at least one head coach, and in most cases volunteers working with the kids as well. I don't know much about the track program since I've only volunteered for the swim program.

I can tell you that every child I worked with who did special olympics had nothing but great things to say about it! Have a great time and let us know how it goes!

He actually turned out to be 1 year too young. We did get a second form sent home again from school to sign him up LOL. He took it well, we signed him up for a Tae Kwon Do class instead. We really researched the place that offers it and they mentioned that they work well with handicapped children. His first practice is Monday. I'll let you know how that pans out:goodvibes

This is a little late, but in PA you can practice from age 6-7 and then start competing at age 8. Just thought I'd share!
