Why when you use the BOG fast pass+ website to make a lunch "reservation" does it ask about any special occasions? My daughter has a birthday the day we are going and I was curious as to if they give you something special?
I haven't used the BOG FP+ site, but for TS restaurant reservations you have to call to note any special occasions on your reservations. However, this does not mean that the restaurant or your server will do anything special.
Probably half of the visitors in DW are celebrating something - birthday, anniversay, engagement, honeymoon, graduation, family reunion, life milestone - so it's impossible to give something special to everyone. At some TS restaurants we've had cupcakes, special desserts, confetti on the table, champagne, a card and at others we've had absolutely no acknowledgement.
You can get your daughter a birthday button from guest relations and many CMs will wish her a Happy Birthday, but this is about the extent of guaranteed special recognition.
BOG at dinner used to have the "Grey Stuff" for special occasions, but there were so many requests for it, they incorporated in one of the desserts at both lunch and dinner.
To ensure that she'll have something special you will have to arrange and pay for it yourself. TS have a small podium cake that you can order when you check in. For a more elaborate cake, check the Cake Chatter thread:

You can order a chocolate slipper dessert for delivery at some MK TS restaurants and MK area resort restaurants that is quite popular. Disney Florist can do gift arrangements to be delivered to your room or in room celebrations.
It's best not to expect any special recognition and be pleasantly pleased when it happens.
