Special momentos from WDW

Every holiday that we have had at WDW has been really special, but this time i would like to bring home a few personalised momentos.

So far i have thought of special photos, sketches and/or portraites, as i have seen these when we have been on previous trips, but i'm not really sure what else there is.

What special personalised momentos have you bought when you have been to WDW ?

I'm not sure if you can get them in WDW but Universal do the crystals that have your portrait scribed into them.
You can also book a photographer to have a session at your favourite hotel - that would be pretty special.

I think mine are always photos and I do like to purchase an authentic Disney photo album (or 5 ) or a scrapbook to display my happy memories in.

The other thing I really love is bags. I always buy a nice Disney shopper.

Last year was all of the above as usual, but I bought DD and I one of the woven throws you get if you spend over xxx amount at the stores there (I think they were $15.95 each if you spent the qualifying amount).

Sorry about the picture. I took it in the early hours of the morning when I couldn't sleep and someone asked to see it so I had to quickly straighten the bed.

If you want photos of the bags I can post them too. I just need to get them all out of the wardrobe.

Oh, and pressed pennies. We always collect those as we go around as well as souvenir mugs. Now I need a bigger house

I like to bring a personalised Christmas decoration with the year on home. Every year you bring it out you can remember your lovely holiday

I always by various things with the year on, magnet, xmas bauble, pin, scrapbook, photo album etc.....

In June I went on a "girls only" trip with my friend and we each got a tree decoration & had it personalised with our trip name on it.....

We also bought this photo frame in 2009 & had it personalised in Magic Kingdom, I deliberately didn't put the year on it so we could change the photo after each trip.

Thats what I was going to suggest too, we got ours done 4 yrs ago and still love it. We got ours done in mousegears shop in Epcot though

We got a silhouette done of our daughter at DTD.

With frame it cost about $25 I think. It's in our dining room, will try to take a pic. Didn't take long at all.

Thanks for posting this! I've never seen these before, I think that half the time I must walk around with my eyes shut! I'm so going to get one of these on our next trip!

they also do various things like this in downtown disney - i'm trying to remember the name of the store - they do beautiful things in crystal, including the pictures..

and they do less pricey things, like etching your name in various glass objects..

on my solo trip in june, i had my son's name etched onto a beautiful glass beer mug that had a fishing mickey etched on the side....the etching was done as i watched....the artisan is right there...

and i had my son in law's name etched onto a beautiful coffee mug with mickey playing soccor on it (he's a soccer nut)...

they have lots of beautiful things in that store...
i have to look up the list of stores to see if i remember which one it was...

the CMs working there was as nice as can be!!

both my son and SIL were thrilled with the gifts....they were expecting me to buy all the regular stuff, but they really like these (and use them)...

One of the benefits of writing trip reports is I can look back and see exactly how much it cost. It was $282, but that was nearly 4 years ago so they have probably gone up by now.
