Special character meet and greet

We just got off the fantasy, it was wonderful and just a totally magical week, and we seemed to have been sprinkled with some extra pixie dust! On the last day of our cruise we got a letter on our stateroom door, with an invitation to a “special surprise” that night before the “See you real soon” show. It turned out to be a special meet and greet with all the characters hosted by the character manager. They brought out Chip and Dale, Daisy, Donald Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy- my daughter was able to give each one a special hug and then we got a group picture with all the characters. It was so amazing, and there were only 5 families with us in the room. I have no idea how we were chosen- they mentioned each family made the trip very special for the characters- we did take a lot of character pictures, my daughter loves the characters and was just giddy every time she got to meet them.

I had no idea this was something that was done, in spite of watching a whole lot of vlogs, listening to several podcasts and reading these boards. I actually thought the letter was a stock message sent to all guests, and only decided to keep my daughter up for it because our table mates did not get a similar letter so we were curious about what it could be.

So just a heads up if you receiving a card from the character manager- make sure you go!
