special bus?

My family will be at Old Key West this August. Some of the grandchildren will be going to the princess breakfast at the castle. If their scheduled time is early before the official opening time for the Kingdom, is there any earlier special bus transportation to the park ? I thought I saw a bus marked special during our visit last November. We won't have a car for transportation. If there isn't a bus, has anyone gone early to breakfast and what means did you use (taxi, van,etc.)? Any suggestions???? Thanks in advance.

I suggest you check with guest services when you arrive to see what they recommend.

We stayed at VWL in Oct 2005. We had an 8:15 ADR at CRT. We caught the MK bus at 7:40 am and had to wait at the turnstyles for about 15 minutes.
No special bus. The regular busses were running early enough to get there.
Be sure to bring a camera. I took pictures of DW and DNeice on main street in front of castle. It looked like they were the only people in the park. We tell our freinds that was the day we rented MK for ourselves.

Buses usually start running more than an hour before the first event that can happen there. You should be fine.

When we stayed at OKW in November, I caught an AK bus at 7:25, even though AK didn't open until 9:00. I got there well before 8:00.

I think the "special bus" you are wondering about is called a "taxi"!!

But really, isn't there some sort of "disclaimer" that the CM talks you thru when you make those early morning ressies? Every time I have made an early ressie, the CM has asked, "Will you have your own method of transportation?" I think you can get to the parks in time if you get out there really early, but WDW does not "guarantee" that you will be able to get there.

On the flip side....we were almost 30 minutes late getting to our ressie for bfast at CRT one time....no problem...they seated us right away. I think WDW is very "flexible" on arrival times.

Enjoyed the laugh Beca...we should have taken the "special bus" after Illuminations in November...would have made it back to OKW a lot faster!!!
Thanks to all for your input and best wishes...I'm sure we'll be fine...but I know I saw a bus with "special" marked on it when we were at OKW in November and wondered about it.....maybe I saw it through "pixie dust"!!!!

Although I've not ridden them, I've read on the transportation board that there are buses that start very early just for getting guests to breakfasts.

I have also read that for some reason AK will not let guests in cars through the parking gates until too late for the earliest breakfast seatings....maybe 8:30 or 8:45. For Donald's Breakfast there people have posted that the only way to make it on time is to take a WDW bus. Perhaps that has changed though.
