Special blankie for theme parks

Each trip to Disney I make my kids a special blanket to take to the parks. My older 2 have outgrown the need for a blanket so I only need one for my ds2. He has 2 special blankets that I made for him when he was born that he sleeps with at home, but I wouldn't dare take them to the parks for fear of losing them. I have made several Disney themed blankets for him over the years, using the same materials as his favorite blankets, but different patterns. Here is a picture of the one I just finished for our October trip. I will start letting him use it now for car trips so he will be used to it by the time we go to WDW in October.

This is the back. The picture is a little hard to see, but I embroidered one of the Mickey's from the front and several of the stars.

Planning a trip is so much fun.

a little OT, but our middle DD - just turned 4 at the time - lost her blankie. she had had it since her baptism and carried it EVERYWHERE!! we were mortified. we still have no idea where it went. she slept with it, we went to the bus stop to go to AK. once on the bus, we noticed she didn't have it. we immediately called GF and they sent someone to the bus stop. it wasn't there. i guess it just vanished!! anyway, it was yellow -- or it used to be, before all of her "loving" of it -- and it had Pooh on it (it was from Disney Store). well, in Epcot, we saw a VERY similar one, but it was pink w/ minnie. i showed it to her and she said she would try it out. so we bought it, and she tried it, and she loved it. she still sleeps with it everynight, and it reminds us all of our 1st trip to DW!
