Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Okay....I know I said in the winter that I hate SNOW...but I think I HATE rain even more!!!!! We had a torrential downpour last night and part of our basement flooded...thank goodness for our shop vac....I think we "shop vac"ed almost 80 gallons of water from our basement.....it took us over 1.5 hours....luckily the flood happened in a part of our basement that is used for storage and most of our stuff is kept in plastic (Rubbermaid) containers.....

Elaine..flood and all (poor you)...you do not hate the rain more !!!!!!!!! How soon we forget our Canadian winters....NOT !!!...

I just came home from work and as per usual the first thing that I checked is if we had our state room assigned. Sure enough we had. We are in state room 6521. This is one of the sideways state rooms. Can anybody here tell me anything about either this particular state room, the location (deck 6 forward) or sideways state rooms in general?
There was a definite cruise theme to today. My fish extender and my supplies for the FE gifts (I made about 20 already and they look great) arrived. So it was kind of fitting that I got my room assignment today as well. I am so happy that I have a state room number.

woohooo we got our stateroom assignment today too - i don't know why i am so excited about it - i just am - anyway we are 8536 - but there are no trip reports on this one - anyone stayed in it before...it seems to be a nice location. . . heck it's on teh ship - it must be a nice location...

Congrats to everyone that has received their room assignments....

We got a lot more rain today.....this was me because the basement stayed dry

I went to one of our Canadian chain camera shop (Black's) on my way home from work tonight to order a spare battery for my new camera and they had a 3 pack of 2GB memory cards for $29.99...now I have cards totalling 10 GB....I'm hoping that will be enough for the cruise and WDW!!!

LOVE the sideways staterooms - we're just down the hall somewhere on that deck. The best parts are - the sitting area is close to the door, with the bedroom in the back, and the bed is crossways the ship so when the ship rocks the sleeper rocks head to foot instead of side to side, which bothers my head. Yeah, sometimes I wish we had a balcony, but not sufficiently to spend another thou on it!
