No, the Wonder didn't have Ocean Quest. My ds would have loved that, but he won't be with me this time to enjoy it.
Ok, I knew about the name changes in restaurants, but they are still pretty much the same, right?
I was looking at them online and noticed how much cooler the Wonder looked in the adult/bar areas - loved the decor of Route 66 even though we only went down the hall. Is the nightlife good on the Magic? This time I'll get to maybe enjoy some of it!

Well, Tritons is decorated with a "Little Mermaid" theme, and Lumiere's is "Beauty and the Beast", but they are very similar otherwise. They are located in the same area of each ship, Deck 3 midship. The other restaurants (Animators, Parrot Cay, Palos) are the same.

I forgot about Route66 and Beat Street. I don't spend much time in the adult areas, unfortunately! I'm so tired at the end of each day, I barely make it through the 8:30 shows! (OK, I fell asleep a couple of times during the shows last cruise!). But I am determined to make an adult show or two this time!

Well since Scott didn't come thru last night with my phone-a-friend....I used another lifeline.....

Bob...the answer is It's 5 o'clock Somewhere!!!!!!

Elaine somethings ya just gotta know. OK Now what is the name of Jimmy's Gruman aircraft????

Hemisphere Dancer (you didn't say I couldn't "google"!!!!!)

::yes:: Elaine the google clause is always implied when trivia is involved::yes::

opps!!!! I guess I'm destined to remain a parakeet forever....

I noticed that DPD did not vote "yes".
Life-lines and googling don't count.
But, to show ya how compassionate I am, I will.

For extra credit....When is JB's birthday.
No life-lines or googling. Any true parrothead knows the answer.

Thanks Elaine.. I knew I could count on you for picture evidence!! :lmao:

You're accusing me of lopping you?!?!
I am hurt. Crushed.

I have never been accused of lopping before.

I don't know what year but it's Christmas Day...December 25th!!!!!

Very good.
He just turn 61 years young last Christmas.

He shares that birthday with
Isaac Newton, Humphrey Bogart, Rod Serling and Cab Calloway.

Georgie, yes this is our year.

Trying to catch up a bit since I didn't have time this weekend to get on the internet. We are safely back from Ohio, and I am quite happy to be free from the crazy humidity. Colorado is a much more pleasant climate to live in, although I do miss that Lake Erie and my extended family:hug:

I am going to have to ship those FE gifts ahead of time...hopefully, it will all go smoothly. No way is there any possiblity of flying down with whatever we decide to get for the gifts. DH and I are habitual overpackers and with DS now and the increasing costs of extra luggage, so we'd be setting ourselves up for failure:rotfl2:

I just have to post a picture of Merrick from our trip this weekend. My Aunt lives in Catawaba Island and we had a nice picnic at the pier and a mini birthday party for the little man. I put my foot down about the whole cake smashing thing...the only place to bathe the little guy would have been in the lake and let's just say the dead fish along the beach kinda turned me off on that:scared1: (He got to smash a huge piece last week!) But here's a pic of the little man looking a little irritated that he was disturbed while enjoying some b-day cake....

So I finalized and paid in full last night - yeehaw! (I know, don't everyone get excited at once). Tonight I booked for our stay at WDW after the cruise, which somehow snowballed from just one night to 3 - gotta love the lure of free food.

So I keep going back to page 1 and every link seems to take me to another link and I am completely lost in this massive thread. How many 100s of DISers will be on this ship? Do we have lots of folks with toddlers - I've got a 4 year old that I will have trouble prying out of the OC. Are there any single type parents that might want to hang out? I'm not single - fully married :lmao: but will not have dh with me so I'd love to hang with some girls. I'll have my mom there but doubt she'll make it as long as I generally do each night. :woohoo:

I have a 4yr old son and 3yr old daughter I also am going with my husband but he basically goes to bed with the kids and I go to a movie but would love to do some girlie stuff at night. Pm me and we'll chat.

Ok, So I stayed up to make reservations last night for Excursions and Palo. THE TIME READ 12:04, THE PALO RESERVATIONS...ZERO!!!! I worked on it for about an hour then said forget it, got up early today and the Disney site says "ERROR we are having problems with our reservation system at the moment" Is there any hope of still getting in at Palo? Is it always like this?:headache:

Palo filled up early on this cruise since there is only one brunch and it is a shorter cruise. You can check when you get onboard as they do hold back some reservations there. As for Disney's system, it is currently not working. I've been trying to book reservations all morning and no luck. I am on the phone with them now and most of them have no access as well.

I called also and got the same story! Oh well what can you do! We have 7 kids in our group (ages 5-16) and we were hoping for one adult dinner! I will keep my fingers crossed!

Macmom, I didn't have any problems getting my Palo ressies for my last cruise which was only a 4 day. This one amazed me. No availability for brunch when most of us tried as castaway club members. And the dinner reservations were slim pickin'.

Two foxes, you should be here now!!! Humidity down to 40% and temps in low to mid 70's. It is gorgeous! We will pay for this come August though! What you had was typical late July-August weather in Ohio. Yuck!

Yeah I realize that now. I am sure we will enjoy ourselves if we don't get to Palo!

Hey Laxmom DS played in the US Lacrosse U13 tournament last weekend! Great event! Our poor boys were blown away but boy did they get to see some awesome lacrosse! Teams from San Diego, Colorado, Texas, New Jersy, New York and more! You are right, wonderful weather here in Ohio! Kinda chilly this morning!

Ok - today should be the final pay date - so we should know who is going and who isn't....I have not heard back from the previous person who was doing the cabin tours .... so i was thinking ... could everyone who is willing to open up their room for a tour, please pm me with the following info:

name, category, room number (if you know it), anything special about it (ie handicapp, sideways, Disney Suite ;) , secret porthole, secret verandah, etc...)

I was thinking the day at sea is probably the best day to do the tour (I could be totally wrong on this though!!)- what do y'all think about it?

Tasha
