Hi everyone! Well I know I am a little behind, but I found our site. I will be cruising this special cruise with my DH, DS(9) and DS(2) along with another couple with two boys! My DH booked this cruise on our October 2007 Magic as a surprise...on our last Disney cruise my DS (2) fractured his femur and we had to be air evac'd out of Cozumel. Some of you may have seen my many many posts about the necessity of travel insurance! I will share more if yal are interested. I missed Castaway Cay all together so I am very excited to spend not one but two days there! We are going to try it again, hopefully without any injuries. I'm praying! I look forward to meeting all of you and sign me up for the cabin tour!

Welcome Aboard

If you care to share the names of the traveling party, I can add you to the roster.
Cabin number and dining would also be great!

You can view the roster, that by the way has not been updated since page 107 of this thread.

I will get to the additions and Deletions!

Sue, we are very Saddened, by the news...
We had a ton of fun with ya on the first med cruise...
Who else would run around EZE looking for us when we where 20 minutes late for the excursion bus LOL
I think that was Jenn & Tracy's fault.. LOL

Witch will be one year ago next week May 26th...
according to the date on my Dreams lunch bag...

Wonder who got your cat 3 room ?

:rotfl: I remember that! Nana, Christina and I were sitting on the bus wondering WHY we weren't leaving. I found out they were waiting for 2 (yes, they said two) people. They didn't seem to know who. Annoyed, I walked up and down the aisles asking "Do you know who is missing? Were they sitting next to you?...." About five rows back it dawned on me. I knew EXACTLY who was missing! :lmao: :lmao: So I RAN off the bus (dying of embarrassment). I headed straight UP that winding Eze street knowing I'd find all of you in some wine tasting shop! :dance3: To my surprise, it was an OLIVE OIL shop that captured you guys. :rotfl:

Ahhh, the memories!!! This time last year we were winging our way across the Atlantic. FANTASTIC trip! GREAT company! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I am SOOOOO bummed we can't go in September. I didn't tell Christina (she didn't know about the trip anyways - smart Momma there!). She'd be crying! She STILL complains about that Boston trip...

Miss you guys!

Sue

Sue, So Sorry, we will miss your and we do understand.

Tracy, if you think 40 will be rough, wait till 50 LOL

Been on the road working, tired and have lots of OT, I guess that is good, I know Lynn has been busy at home working on the basement.

Next weekend is the Bolder Boulder 10K eace, should be fun and interesting.

Enjoy the day I have about 435 miles to drive to get home.

Hey, I live in Boulder County! But not doing the race...

I received the planning booklet from Disney for the cruise, and we were all pretty excited to read it :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I was wondering, will we have the character breakfasts on this trip - anyone know? The info about these breakfasts was included in the booklet, but it was a general planning booklet for the Magic and since this is a 5 day cruise I wondered if the breakfasts would happen.

Perhaps I will give a call to Disney and see what they say. Thanks to anyone who can provide info.

Got our booklet today too!!!:cool1:

Welcome aboard! An I saw your thread and decided to follow your advice! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Sue, so sorry to hear you won't be with us. You are making the right decision. Laxlad struggled at that grade also. It ended up being a vision problem - not eyesight- vision. He had therapy and is now a solid A-B student in honors classes as a soon to be junior! Anyway, point is, you are putting her first, as it should be and the results will show down the road. We will miss you but there will be other cruises.

Welcome aboard Lowery1226. good to have ya with us.

Our booklet arrived when I was outta town, now to find the time to read it and the DVC mag, and the scuba mags, Oh well.

Had good weather, that was a change.

Looks like rain tonight, had some thunder last night.

Jennand Jarred, We will be there in boulder this weekend, staying at the HI Express, Doing the race on Monday, I'll be the guy wearing running shoes LOL. Tee Hee Guess it is quite the event. Actually might be wearing a bright green WISH shirt.

Greetings from the EB Repo Group....

I hope you all are prepared for the booking nightmare we just went through at 90 days... If i can give any suggestions at all it would be to make sure that DCL shows you paid in full at least a couple days prior to the 90 day booking mark and that your cabin is not linked with anyone else. (big source of fustration amongst my fellow travelers)

I have a question... One of my friends Elaineteresa was signed up to take this cruise. Has anyone here seen her post more recently or know if she is still going?

TIA....(thanks in advance)

Don't have a clue about your friend as I don't get to post much but I took your advice and paid my cruise in full this am! Whoo hooo! Really just wanted to wait until my payment for last month posted and statement cycled. I am so pumped!! I am sooo ready for this cruise!!:cool1:

I don't know that this cruise will be as bad as the EB PC cruise booking was. I agree to make sure you are paid in full well in advance and just be prepared for some errors. The advise about linking is good ONLY if you don't want to dine at Palo with someone else or if you will be booking separate excursions. If you want to dine together at Palo you have to be linked to get a reservation for a table big enough (though also keep in mind the bigger tables are not available to reserve online). If you are linked with someone else, only one of you will be able to get into your reservations at a time.

Here's some additional advise. Before the booking window opens, go in and check your reservation online. Check to see there isn't a balance due. Go through the excursions and spa treatments and wish list those you are interested in. When the time comes to book these, you can limit the list by those on your wish list saving time scrolling for your choices.

If you log in to book at midnight and you get an error saying you are not paid in full - DON'T PANIC!!! If you know you are paid in full (and have verified it before this date), simply log out and close your window. Open it again and log back in. You shouldn't have the error and you should be able to proceed with booking.

When you make a selection, even if you have more that you want to select, confirm your selection. If DCL's system crashes, if you haven't confirmed, you will lose your selection and it may not be available when you get back in.

Most of all, and this is the hardest part, don't get yourself so frustrated. It is very frustrating (took me 2 hours the other night and I didn't get Palo brunch or half of the excursions my dining mates wanted). Keep in mind that if DCL's system locks up, everyone is locked up, not just you. Don't log in before midnight or you will have errors at midnight. And most of all, your cruise will not be ruined if you don't get Palo, some spa treatment or an excursion you have your heart set on. You still will have a great time!

Great advice, Tracy. DH and I are not doing Palo this trip but DS and DDIL would like to. Hopefully I can get them covered.

NOT TRUE... DCL HAS MY ROOM LINKED TO MY TA's GROUP SOMEHOW

Here's some additional advise. Before the booking window opens, go in and check your reservation online. Check to see there isn't a balance due. (You can't see PIF if you have a TA) Go through the excursions and spa treatments and wish list those you are interested in. When the time comes to book these, you can limit the list by those on your wish list saving time scrolling for your choices. (NOTE: I was able to log -in and create wish list entirely up to the time my 90 window opened and then it said my ressie was linked to more than 5 other cabins and i had no access to book excursions)
If you log in to book at midnight and you get an error saying you are not paid in full - DON'T PANIC!!! If you know you are paid in full (and have verified it before this date), simply log out and close your window. Open it again and log back in. You shouldn't have the error and you should be able to proceed with booking. (Some logged in/out dozens of times and still had problems. Read our thread for that over-night.)

When you make a selection, even if you have more that you want to select, confirm your selection. If DCL's system crashes, if you haven't confirmed, you will lose your selection and it may not be available when you get back in. (This part is correct Tracy)

Typically the above is true in theory...but see above comments. This is what I or others personally experienced.....

Also...we haven't confirmed yet but we think that your 90 window co-incides with our cruise's 75 day window (for first timers who are booked on our trip.)
Fun times ahead if that is true.

I had heard of problems with TA ressies before. I made sure ours were not linked or group booked. We went thru Dreams for this one.

I can assure you that unless you requested to be linked with others if you used Dreams you are not linked with others.

People with five or more reservations linked will have other issues as experienced by a lot of the EB PC cruisers.

If you want to dine at Palo with others, you must be linked with them. That is true. I wasn't saying whether or not you were linked, I was stating a fact about getting a reservation with Palo with others. Personally, unless one person in your group that is linked wants to make the reservations, I wouldn't link them until after reservations are made, unless you are one family. In fact, everyone that was originally linked with me before has been unlinked.

Thats a good way to handle it. We have never cruised with 2 cabins before so I wouldn't have a clue about this stuff.

I do have a question. If our reservations our on the same account for Dreams, do I need to link them so we dine together? I never thought of that until now. DS and DDIL are in a seperate cabin and do have different confirmation numbers on the DCL site.

It's likely that you are linked together if they are on one reservation with Dreams. I sent you a PM though to verify for you.

Tracy

I still haven't received our planning kit but on the other hand I had no problem booking Palo and some excursions. Hopefully the rest of you will go smoothly!

I called AAA yesterday to let them know that I was expecting some kind of planning guide. The TA hadn't heard of this before.

She called me back today to let me know that she had received it and would be forwarding it to me in the mail. WooHoo!!!! Hopefully it will come in the mail tomorrow! I am leaving for my cousin's wedding in NJ on Friday so it will make good reading on the flight!
