Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Thanks !! No more earthquakes but we had thunder an lightening last night.

It's nearly 1:00 am so I'm off to bed.

Bethan is 8 tomorrow so I'll probably be up early for her to bounce down the stairs for her presents. She is soooo excited.

Good Morning All!

Like I said earlier, thank heaven for the gift of laughter!

Wow ...


Seems the Co. I worked for did not report the right amount of hours worked to the Union, this year! (they did report them just not under my name.)

Got insurance info in the mail for, Buy in or cobra????

Went what!!!!

Broke out the pay stubs, made copies, mailed them in and all is allset now!

I worked over the required amount of hours, Since I did not start work til August of last year!!!!
I was very careful to track hours, knew it was going to be close!
but did work 1259 hours from 8/1 - 12/28


Even better, I got a jump start on the hours for this year, as the Company did not report the wages for all of December at once and they got credited to January of this year, so i get a 78 hour head start!


Best of all, We are covered for health care until February 28, 2009


Since it is the law here in Mass, you get punished on your taxes if you do not have health insurance!

I am hoping DD, Mairead age 10 goes to the kids club. The first time we cruised I could not get her out--she was 4 -the next time, she was afraid she was going to miss something that I was doing!! So I am hoping she makes some friends and would like to be in the kids club. There is more for her to do there than with me...
(At least on a Disney Cruise. Last year we went on Carnival--the kids club was nothing to speak of. They brought the kids to the dining area when noone was there, btwn meals, and had them color. Mairead said they were not very nice. I didn't think the club was a good idea for her then, but on DCL, wellthere is so much to do!)

We are in the midst of ST. Patrick's MONTH! it is not a day here--each weekendf is filled w/parades and celebrations. The timing is bad this year w/Easter falling so early. It definately tampers w/the parade schedule.

We had a tough time getting our nephew (10 at the time) to go to the DCL Kids activities. He wanted to be with Joe + me all the time. That was fine with us, but we wanted to give him the chance to meet other kids on the cruise. Perhaps if we bring him on another cruise things will be different. He will soon be 12. Oh how they grow up when they're 12

hmm, this is interesting, We were on the October 15 2006 cruise too on the Wonder 4 nights for our last cruise? I wonder if we were are on the same cruise? Sorry I am a little behind in reading, just catching up but this caught my eye.

We were on the Magic October 7 2006 Western Carribean Cruise. The weather was fabulous and the cruise was so awesome that afer disembarking I had severe withdrawals for several weeks. I'm so glad we are now finally at the 6 month countdown.

I will also have my 2 sons ages 13 and 11(will be 12 on cruise) so your nephew will have a few boys to hang around with. They will be found most of the time on the basketball court or anything sports as well as computer/video "stuff".

Thank you so much for posting about Mom on the boards. She always wanted to post, but was a bit overwhelmed with learning how She would be honored to be mentioned on her precious Disboards!

This was a tremendous shock to us - Mom was so full of life and love! She loved being a cast member and was looking so forward to this cruise - and celebrating her 65th birthday with you all! I spoke with her the day before she died to let her know that I was not going to be able to go on the cruise with her because my fiance and I had decided to get married in October! She was so very excited about that and I have the comfort of knowing that she died a very happy woman!

Thanks again Tracy - and have a toast to Mom on the cruise - you know she'll be there with you all!

My Mom actually has 2 birthdays........her DCL birthday May 18 and her "real" birthday August 4!!!!! and yes....I get her a card and gift for both!!!!
