Gary's sick too. I might have to kill him if he passes it along to me. I've been dealing with way too many doctors as well as a hospital visit in the last couple of months.

I need to be on the Magic with a drink garnished with an umbrella in my hand.

I'm right there with ya on that one Regina!! 2 times at Castaway Cay means TWO Konk Kooler happy hours too!!!
I'll have to find my cup holder bathing suit.....

Well, for us in Tampa it looks like it's just a cloudy day today.

Looks like the Bahamas got a lot of the wind (30-50 mph maybe??) and LOTS of rain. With two weeks to go I suspect the only thing we'll notice is maybe some wind-blown foliage. :

On second thought, I think the beach will be awful and everyone should just stay on the ship when we're there....

Hey All

Won't be long now till we're all together. I got a jury summons last week (haven't gotten one of those in 5 years), and sure enough they wanted me to come in on Sept 2. Uh - sorry I'm going to be relaxing on Castaway Cay that day. They did accept the postponement and I don't have to report now till Dec.

I'm so sorry to hear of those of you who are under the weather or have recent injuries. I hope you all get to feeling better very soon!

For all of you on the eastern bound PC cruise, I know you're all having a fabulous time, keep up the good work.

Well, I just had about 20 pages to catch up on!!!

to all those sick and injured, hope you all heal and recover quickly!

We should be at the port bright and early - our limo is picking us up at the airport at about 6:30-7, from there we are headed straight to the port, with a quick breakfast/coffee/wine bottle stop on the way! That is if the plane is on time and if they do not lose any of our luggage!!!

All those in FL, watch out for those tornados!! Be safe!

In 2 Weeks!

O.K. Kiddies. It is getting better all the time. Daydreaming again .....

We're Still Here. Soon we will be On the Road Again and hope our home isn't occupied by the Gypsies in the Palace. After a disney song or two, we'll be at our One Particular Harbour. If there is a Coconut Telegraph we'll find out how much We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About while enjoying our Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. When it is Five O'Clock Somewhere, we'll be in Margaritaville doing Fins and feel like a real Reggae Guy.
While in Nassau we will find that the weather will be Nothin' But a Breeze.
But by the end of the cruise, we will be telling the Magic that we Miss You So Badly and though we did not see the Southern Cross or drink from a Tin Cup Chalice, we will have a wonderful time.
On this cruise we will meet the newest Pirate (that) Looks at 40 fresh from left coast.
After our Lovely Cruise, Lee and I will be heading out that morning for The Farside of the World at AKV.

O.K. it is not Georgie like, but I just felt a bit creative.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. So instead of a scooter I'm just going to have a wheelchair for the cruise so we don't have to change rooms. There are actually no Handicap accessible rooms available. They are adding rails and a seat in the shower for me! Everyone has been really nice to try to help things be more convenient.

Bummer today... JB was supposed to be on LIVE Regis&Kelly but of course they moved the time slot because of the Olympics... they were showing it at 2pm... and by then the channels were all 24/7 FAY coverage!

Made it thru the day and I actually feel better than I did this am. I think I rounded a corner today!!

So I was at work and someone asked about our itinerary so I went to the DCL website and typed in like I wanted to book. There are standard inside staterooms still available.....for like $1600 per person!!! I know I checked without airfare but wow! Even with...wow!

Really like todays countdown too!! Hope all the guys are feeling better soon.

I read a tip on the photo package thread that you can buy a package and then add on later if you decide you want more? Or can you reduce the package if you end up not having as many photos as you thought? Also, someone advised buying a package and then taking the photos (up to the number in the package) with them each day. She then would return photos if she found ones she liked better later in the week. Is this still allowed?

So, what's everybody doing in Nassau?

We are taking a taxi to the Wyndham resort/Sheraton resort area on Cable Beach. Wyndham sells day passes for around $20 (or so we have heard).

We stayed at that Wyndham a few years ago right after Marriott sold it. It is a bit of a haul from the dock if I remember correctly.

We are doing Atlantis via Comfort Inn Suites. It has been a few years since Laxdad, Laxlad and I were there. Collegeman and Dutchess were there on their honeymoon 2 years ago but things have still changed since then. Thought this was cheaper than planning a trip to stay for a few days.

Would like to shop some but if we don't have time, no big deal. Nothing I need anyway! Then we will probably come back to the ship and chill by the pool til we sail.

Tonight we decided that we are going to spend the LATE night down at the port before the cruise.

Saves us the drive in the AM.

So we will be leaving the World Probably after the fireworks at Epcot, and going to the port. or whatever we decide to do?
I know I have never met Andy / Verandah Man and would like to complete that milestone in my life!
Has been quite a few trips from each of us, and we have never had the same cruise schedule and or trip to the world, until Now...




Also saved us a few DVC points since we are Going to try to do an ABD trip.
think i will end up renting them to pay for the Trip since renting the points will pay the cash value of one and a half people, means we would only pay about $1500 plus air..

We are doing Atlantis via Comfort Suites also. This will be our first time to experience Atlantis. I was there several years ago with my Mom and we went to the casino, but that is all of the resort that I saw. Not sure if we will do any shopping or not.
