Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

One less day, starting to feel a panicked about all there is to do yet? I sure am--not enough hours in the day.
Countdown15.jpg

more sleeps.

I think we are going on this one. We are still trying to decide between a cruise to Alaska or Adventures By Disney. I think we will make our final decision after our ABD trip the end of September.

Which Adventure By Disney are you taking at the end of September? I wanted to do the Backstage Magic ABD for my birthday in March but it isn't being offered then.

Happy Weekend everyone

I hope all the Repo'ers have a great time on their trip.

Today is packing day....yesterday I cleaned the inside of the car (since the sun was shining and just in case we get the week's worth of rain they are calling for) and tidied up around the yard...and then Mom and I went to see the movie Mama Mia last night....it was great....Leslie....the character of Rosie was made just for you!!!!! the only negative thing about the movie was that they should have dubbed someone else's voice over Pierce Bronson's - his was :scared1:

Well, better late than never I guess! I will be on this cruise with my friend Susan. She is a member here also, but I won't post her name unless she wants to do that. We are in cabin 5132.

Looking forward to everything and hope to meet a few DISers!

Hey everyone! I'm too excited to sleep. Wake up call is in 25 minutes. I haven't blogged yet because it's been too busy. We met up with friends that we cruised with in 2005 and have been spending a lot of time with them in the last two days. Believe it or not, we didn't get to see the fireworks, Fantasmic or the Electrical Parade (in the park). We saw a bit of the fireworks from our hotel and saw the whole Electrical Parade from our room. We switched restaurants from our original plan last night and ate at Yamabuki. It was very, very good! We all had something different and at the end, two of the servers brought a fruit plate to me (I had on my birthday button) and sang Happy Birthday to me in Japanese!! They had an orange that was carved and looked like a Mickey! I didn't have a camera with, but took a picture with my cell phone.

Didn't get to see Michael Phelps so thanks for letting me know what happened (I don't have to try to find that out this morning too!).

See everyone in 15 days!!!!

Tracy,

Have a wonderful time on the repo!!! Looking forward to finally meeting you and Bill in 15 days!

Had another great time with Georgie and Joe last night at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Here's the drink Ron and I had:

sunkin_treasure.jpg

The sunken treasure was a gummy oyster complete with pearl. Ron thought it was pretty gross, but the drink itself was excellent!

One of their appetizers is fried pickles

Sounds weird but they are really addictive!

I hope all of you in Florida in the potential path of Fay take care....you will be in our thoughts and prayers!

Now, I want to give Comcast.net a piece of my mind! Tim and I were sitting on the couch, intently waiting for the medley relay to come on. The swimmers were just coming out (and remember this is LIVE per NBC!) and I was finishing up an email on the laptop. When I was back on the Comcast.net home page, the news headline was "Phelps wins 8th gold!" The "LIVE" race hadn't even begun yet on TV! I figured there is a delay of some sort, but it is a delay that is long enough to get the relay done and get the news story out before the swimming even started on TV! Stinkin comcast......I am so jazzed that Phelps did it. It is absolutely amazing, but too bad I knew about it 8 minutes before the even aired:mad:

I am going to second that - everyone in the path of this storm, keep your head down and check 6!

We have a restaurant here that serves the fried pickle chips. They are so yummy! Right now they sound disgusting! I was up all night with the flu. Not doing so hot this am - tired and achey.

Think I will go rest. Have a great day all.

Good Morning All.
Late start on the day. Got all the important stuff done now it is time to enjoy the day.

Yesterday was spent with the grandkids. They reminded us that we owe them a cruise yet. Soon. Soon.

They had their first trip to a Japanese restaurant.
We were not sure if they would like it. But after they watched the next table's performance, they got into the spirit.
Knew for sure when the grandson got the his cellphone out and started taking pictures.:lmao:

Afterwards we visited the big fish tank in the waiting area.
They knew all the critters in there. More than me.:sad2:
But I knew this one...
