Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Elaine, that makes me feel better! I am not the only one who is behind in their scrapbooking! I have all the stuff.....just no time!

Glad to know I am not alone....I love to scrapbook and have my own scrapbook space in our basement family room....Finding time and the creative juices lately has been difficult. About a month ago I decided to clean and organize all my scrapbook stuff and it got me re-energized about scrapbooking.....Since most of the scrapbook stores around us are closing, I figure I better stock up on supplies while I'm in Florida so I can keep busy during the cold winter months.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
of course not... I did make it up to Curacao!!

I think Elaine finished........

Leslie....you have good reason for not having your scrapbook completed...you were planning your daughter's incredible dream wedding and now you're baby sitting your adorable grandson.

I'm sure you'll finish your scrapbook....once day...maybe when MD starts school :)

2 weeks from now we'll be in WDW...yippee!!!!!!!!!

Same here! I want so badly to get back to it. I miss the creative outlet! We got an Archivers here and it closed all the small stores. I have started ordering online too....hoping I could find the time..... I used to quilt but I like the quick turn around on scrapping projects better. I have actually found some very cool Disney stuff at Archivers. You know, if I finish my final tomorrow, my next class doesn't start for 10 days! Hmmmmm.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Nope...not yet...I kinda lost my scrapbook "umph" and my Panama Canal scrapbook currently is unfinished.....but it is the first thing I plan on completing when we return from this trip since I have my scrapbook "jive" back....so far I have completed 161 pages which is in 3 volumes and I still have about 6 days left to scrapbook (including my Panama Canal pics)....I'm guessing I will have two more volumes - 1 dedicated to my Panama Canal pictures since I have over 400....yes I went a picture crazy but hey....I was getting used to my new digital camera that I had to buy on the cruise since my 35 mm camera died on day 2 at Castaway Cay.

After that, I need to scrapbook our first DCL cruise from November 2004, the September 2006 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise, our 2006 WDW Christmas trip, our May 2007 WDW trip, our October 2007 WDW trip, our 2007 WDW Christmas trip and this trip :scared1: ....BOY...it looks like I'll be doing a ton of scrapbooking in 2008 & 2009.

It looks like I'll need to stock up on Disney scrapbook stuff when we are at WDW.....Oh Leslie...are you up for a trip to MouseMemories and maybe ScrapYourTrip's warehouse in Orlando??????

I agree.....I can't wait to see what Linda has dreamed up for this cruise.

Were heading to orlando the 28th. I would love to know where MouseMemories and ScrapYourTrip's warehouse is in Orlando. Can you point the way.

It is difficult to keep up w/eeveryone!
I was fianlly able to book a tour-at 1:40 am!!
I am not sure I will be awake at that time! Is there a waitlist for earlier time slots?

/
I haven't seen anything about a waitlist. Those sure went fast! I am puzzled why they would do something like this for no charge. That isn't like Disney. I keep thinking, what is the catch? Or is this a part of the Million Dreams? Whatever it is, we are pumped about it. The kids don't know we are going to MK that night let alone touring the Cinderella suite.

I was able to get a tour for 2 at 7:20, I was looking for a larger ## of openings, but 2 was it. I hope they don't count Merrick..when asked for the ages of those in the party, they had no choice for infants, so I think we should be okay.

Docs came, so we are just waiting on the second shipment of FE gifts and we'll get those shipped down and then the rest is just organizing and packing! I am in desperate need of a vacation. Work stinks right now...we are in major budget crisis, which is going to probably hit our unit hard. So, a vacation is a must right now!!!

And you will SO miss them - I mourned the whole last year after our LSS closed. Do you know where the scrap stores are? I have 3 favs - MouseMemories in Kissimmee, PikTails in the town center shopping center on Hunters Creek, and Scrappy Boutique in the Florida Mall Terrace on Sand Lake (not far from Airport)

Can't wait to meet you and the other scrappers! Maybe we can keep each other on task after the cruise ;)

What are you studying? My hat is off to you! (I finally got my BA at 50 and it wasn't easy, so I KNOW why you don't have time to scrap!)

Virginia,
Mouse memories is on Damon Av off 192 in old Kissimmee. The easy way is to go out the Oceola parkway (the road by Wide World of sports) (part toll) to rt. 17 south - turn right on 17. At 192 turn left.

Damon Avenue is on the left, about 500 yards along, near the RaceTrack Gas station. 192 is divided, but there is a turning cut for it.

MouseMemories is in a building that has a KITCHEN sign on it. It's a tacky looking warehouse kinda building, but the shop is GREAT.

Have you all checked out the scrapbook board here on the DIS?

Working on my BSBA. Only 7 more classes!!! I will be 49 when I finish. I really think I am a better student this time around. Life experience and maturity really has been an asset.

Would anyone mind if I maybe stop by and peak over your shoulders while you scrap? I'll try not to drool!

I guess no one will be staying there that night, or is that part of the million dreams? People touring through while you're trying to sleep. :lmao: :rotfl2:

I was just wondering, have any of the Disers that are doing this cruise, that first met on the WB Panama crossing in 2005,actually finished there scrapbook?
I am sad to say that most of my pictures are still lost and trapped forever in the confines of my computer! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
I know that Linda will again have a great project for all who participate. :thanks:

I have not yet finished, but almost, I think I am on the San Pedro Port page. It has been awhile. All my projects are in different bags. Sorry to hear about the pictures. I lost a bunch of pictures of one of our cruises when the media card failed, but I did get alot from other cruisers.

My scrapbook area is in the basement, and all has been on hold during basement construction. Everything is now covered in dry wall dust, so it will be a major job to clean up before I get back to scrapbooking. I did finish the scrapbook from our last trip to Africa right after we got back - all our other trips are still waiting to be processed. I think I have enough supplies to finish all those in waiting easily!!! Now I live in a town that has a Hobby Lobby and a Michaels, I no longer have to drive for 2 hours to buy supplies!

I am really jealous of those who are getting the tour of the Castle, can't wait to see pictures!

I am on Cabo San Lucas, almost done.

of course not... I did make it up to Curacao!!

I got Curacao done. I was trying to find some pictures of someone I know from their horse "incident" later on the trip, but I wasn't on that excursion. Do you know anyone that has pictures of that? Oh...wait....I forgot, the camera ended up in the sand, didn't it? :rotfl:

My books are huge too, considering we took over 3,000 pictures. It was really hard to decide what to scrap.

I can get everyone else's projects done, just not my own!

Ditto!

I have a whole Disney Craft room. It has paint from Home Depot in Tinkerbelle Green and Enchanted Evening (purple) and then it has white cabinets, a sink and a kewl storage cube with 16 12 x 12 cubes from IKEA that is white that fits all the scrapbook stuff perfectly. However, you can hardly walk in the room because I have stuff all over the counters, floor, etc. I also have a wallpaper border with Tinkerbelle. It's real cute if I ever get it organized so I can actually use the space.

I LOVE Archiver's. We have one in Orem, Utah, an hour south of Salt Lake City. I try to go to their Friday night crops once every three months. They have some awesome stuff. Salt Lake has tons of scrapbook stores though (and warehouses too), so I stock up and get bargains from the warehouse sales (like Bo Bunny, Creating Keepsakes and Rusty Pickle, just to name a few) In fact, we will be using some embellishments from Bo Bunny that I got at one of their warehouse sales. You will have extras to use on other projects too.

I'm suppose to fly out at 11:15 a.m. that Saturday, maybe I can check about changing to a later flight. Our Scrapbook Expo is September 19 and 20 here in Salt Lake. It is HUGE. That's where I buy alot of my stuff cuz there are so many great deals. Where is Lakeland?

We're back from WDW :goodvibes Thanks to all for the well wishes! We had a wonderful relaxed time with family and friends. Even visited Vero Beach Resort. Parks were secondary this trip.

We completed and packaged (without burning up the plastic bags :rotfl2: ) 125 FE gifts. Will complete the rest over the next 2 weeks. Just before we left for the airport yesterday, we got to hang up a seashell wreath with Mickey ears on the entry wall outside Mouse Beach. We also put up a Mickey sign that says we live there :thumbsup2 . Of course, if we hang our flag, the flag pole will hit the top of Mickey's ears :lmao: BUT... we finally got them both up! We also bought flowering plants for our courtyard. It was a chore, but we got all 18 plants in! :faint: I hope they're still living when we get back down on the 29th!

JANIS! Happy Retirement!

LINDA! Thanks for setting up the scrapbooking! Will send PM.

ELAINE! Scrapbook Outlets!!! Sounds like fun!

LESLIE! How many containers should I buy for the scrapbooking stuff!!! :rotfl2:

Just wanting to see what all I can fit into my schedule without over doing it!!
