Lynn says thanks for the B-day wishes. It has been one year since she has retired, wow time is flying.

Elaine, just saw an add in the local paper where the local Blockbuster is selling previously viewed DVD's, will check it out today for you.

Jenn, there is a passport office in Denver, maybe you could get some help there, also a call or email to a Senate office can sometimes help.

Does anyone know where I can get an "authentic" Nightmare Before Christmas" DVD?????

My Mom and I have recently reunited with my niece (long story) and found out that her Mom (brother's ex) kicked her out of the house and destroyed all her belongings including her favourite movie of all time Nightmare Before Christmas.....my Mom and I thought it would be easy to replace this movie but we are finding it very difficult. We have tried every video retailer and found out that the movie is "in the vaults" and a re-release date is unknown because there is a 3D version of the movie currently in theatres. I tried Ebay and either the prices are sky high or the movies aren't "authentic" but copies. It would have been so much easier if I had this movie in my collection but I always thought the movie was "strange" and just never purchased it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have got a copy that is simply collecting dust. If you still need it, PM me!

Hi Jill!! I will just miss you at WDW. We leave on Thursday   We'll make it for the first podcast meet! Have a great trip :woohoo:

When they posted the meet dates, I was thinking...come on, make them two weeks apart...SO I CAN GO!!!! Oh, well!

You guys have a blast! I am a bit worried how this trip will go with having a six month old in tow now. I could barely get Tim and me off before, now I am responsible for the little man Merrick now:eek: Thank goodness for the washer and dryer at SSR, because this is my life now..:laundy: due to the perpetual puke monster...but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Have a great trip!

Elaine, Glad Sharon and Jm can help, I could not find it here anywhere, and I gave it a good run.

Elaine-Is that the Tim Burton "Night Before Christmas"? I was in my local video store and they have it for rental on DVD. I could ask if they are willing to sell it or if they have a few copies. Let me know if it works out w/Sharon.

Sorry I don't know names but "Two-Foxes" or merrick's mom-we went to WDW when my DS now 13 was 2 months . We also went when he was 2 yrs and his brother DS#2 was 6 months/ That was fun 2yr old and a 6 month old! Actually it was fun and not a problem. We definately did it all in a different way, but it was doable.

At the time I remember theTiki-Room was the old version so noone was in it. It was a great place to feed the baby(I was nursing)-air conditioned, in the dark. To this day DS #1, Liam (13yr old) LOVES the Tiki-Room!

Rent a stroller or bring your own-we had a double at one point, visit Mickey's Toon Town and enjoy.

I can't thank you guys enough

Thanks to Jill & Tim (two-foxes) my niece's Nightmare movie has been replaced....and we will actually get to meet Jill, Tim and Merrick at WDW and be able to thank them in person.

It is times like this that I am so thankful for my Dis family, which seems to be growing with every cruise.

so to Jill & Tim..... :worship:

That's a great suggestion. I have a vacation day wednesday to Cirque Du Soleil's Saltimbanco at 3:00PM. I'll go to teh passport office first.

Thanks!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Was good here, except for the freezing rain for about 3 hours.

Someone visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus....
BelleChristmas07.jpg

She also enjoyed the first snow of the season. :dogdance:

Did some shopping. Saw a Margaritaville drink machine.:faint:
Unless Santa brings it, won't be using one of those for a while. $$$$$

Did buy the Mango Margarita mix though. Can't wait to try it.

For those of you in the midwest, does the name Fannie May ring a bell?
Seems as they are back. Stopped in and got my favorite, Trinidads. Also got some Key Lime creams. Yumm.

Still need to do a bit more christmas shopping yet. A little more decorating too.
Cards and cookies are on the to-do list too.

Well, my passport arrived today and my son's didn't. Not a good sign. They questioned my custody papers and claimed that they need a raised seal on them like a birth certificate when I filed. I filed anyway with my signed judge's order from Family Court. I don't see the raised seal requirement on the state dept website (except for birth certificates). I am so bummed.

Deadbeat dad and can't even take the poor boy on a cruise...

:headache:

I can relate. DH DD and I applied for our passports and they got theirs before me because the idiots at the passport place just made up an address and sent my passport there. The post Office tracked it down and retrieved it. My birth certificate is gone.
